Burgess much better, can play multiple roles, IMO. McLaughlin just VFL player for me. Yes, he can mark but that's in VFL. No real AFL trait, not fast. A bit like Corbett but Corbett was a better runner and could link up on the wing.

Up to three tackles so far. He's not getting much of the ball but he is impacting the game with his tackling. What you don't want is for an academy player to suit up for our VFL team and be a passenger. Fortunately none of our academy players appear to be doing that today.

I’m not saying he’s better, I just think he’s done enough to deserve to play an AFL game, it might be the only one he ever gets
