4th quarter after Parker kicks his first, he's walked back to middle, standing by himself, and a Lions trainer walks up with the Lions mids and Joe getting ready for the centre bounce, and casually puts his hand hand out for a bottle from the Lions trainer, takes a drink, hands the bottle back and has a chat with Ashcroft.

Ed is actually knowledgeable and is tolerable when he isn’t going full Collingwood VFL nuff.

Whenever his Collingwood glasses aren’t on, he is one of my favourite footy people to listen to. He just loves the game.

Four days later and my laryngitis is easing but judging by the metallic tasting cough I've given myself a vocal polyp. I missed too many games in H&A this season so lacked match fitness, but I'll get back into training by Amity Affliction and should be ready to kick into preseason at Good Things. I'm confident I'll be raring to go in opening round but taper my load to peak in late September next year!

I've got a longer memory. He's the absolute skunk whinger that got in the AFL's ear and all over the media lobbying against our retention allowance that contributed strongly to a dark period and our capacity to hold on to players. Whilst he's presiding over Collingwood who have every possible advantage in the book.

I’ve not watched a Mitch Robbie vid since he played at the Lions but this popped up my feed with Rhys Mathieson who I know was in the rooms post game and by god, Rhys is such a fan of the Lions it’s great to see. He’s obviously very close to a number of the boys so it was a delight listening to him talk about the Lions and his love of the club.

Watching some of these season highlights / premiership videos, Joe will be a massive loss if he goes, massive. He came up clutch for us so many times throughout the year both forward and in the ruck. In fact at times on the wing as well. He is impossible to replace and extremely underappreciated but non-Lions supporters.

Ouch was crook as a dog during the 2023 Grand Final Day, watched it live, but recall little and to this day have never re-watched it, but guess I have to now !@#$$%& Ed.

I guess what really influenced me to make such a bad call was he was advocating the AFL putting up money to part own Brisbane's new stadium and make it happen.
