I'd back the anti-scalping laws if they weren't letting the AFL do exactly what they are trying to prevent. The package I bought from them included two Cat 4 tickets - one for the Prelim (face value of $65) and one for the GF (Face value of around $200). I paid $1,360. So I can't really have a crack at someone who tries to do the same thing at their own risk (ie that put the money up and wear the consequences if they don't sell it).
Did you get anything other than the tickets?

Bit the bullet and got a ticket as part of a corporate package. 2.5 hours of food and drink at Long Neck Brewery before the game and a Category 3 seat.

I reckon the Ticketmaster website is going to implode on Thursday morning.

Anyone know where the different seating categories are for the GF? I tried looking it up, but all the maps I found only go up to cat 5, and they've added a cat 6 for the GF.

I'm cat 3, and I have no idea where that will be.

Would cat 6 be shoved into Auzzie the Eagle's box, or squished in-between BT and Basil? Worth it.

Cat 6 is right behind the goals bottom level from what i can see. But also has a doted line meaning its alcohol free zone.

IF you get those tickets you can still go drink at the bars? Just not bring it down to the seats?

Yep - I sat in Alcohol free seats for the 2015 prelim at Subi (it was the only way I could get tickets) so I just drank at the bar. Actually, I spent a lot of it stressing because we didn't turn up in the first quarter.

Yep sweet. Just think if that's all that available ill take them.

...I will probably be that loaded before hand it wont mater lol

During the 2018 final v the Pies i got so trashed i couldn't remember who won till an hour later lol

I'll try for some tickets tomorrow but if I don't get them I won't care too much. I've missed out on plenty of these types of occasions so why care now? I'd mainly be keen to secure a couple of seats for my wife's aunt. She's in her twilight and hasn't been to a GF before. She can only really afford her season ticket and the things she does for her grandkids are above and beyond. My wife told me that her grandson won tickets or something to the 2018 grand final but never even offered them to her after years of her taking him to games. Was a bit shitty, really. Even though it's not the Eagles, if I can get her a seat I will. She's the type of person who deserves it.

Ahead of the expected carnage for public tickets for the grand final tomorrow I went on the Ticketmaster site and did a dummy run and bought my WAFL grand final ticket. For the WAFL grand final game the number of tickets defaulted to 2.

Do people expect the default to be the same for the AFL grand final? If it is 2 do you accept the default as it is quicker or do you reduce it to 1 hoping that will provide a wider range of tickets.

In reality I am not even expecting to get through to the ticket selection stage but if I do I don't want my indecision to cost me.

WAFL GF isn't a high demand game and they sell tickets differently. You can pick exactly what seat you want. Tomorrow it won't be anything like what you saw today.

Yes you would want to be quick, but you have to select what you want - Adult, Concession, Child, Family etc and how many you want. Selecting 4 isn't going to take any longer than selecting 2.

Battle stations people!

Hopefully you've already joined the que!
