Very well said. People have selective memories, good to see one of you call it correctly.:thumbsu:

What the **** is with all these ****ing dog w***ers coming on our board and stirring up shit. Are you all that ****ing bitter that you have to come over and leave your filthy stench here?

Now to the above. Selective memories???? Are you ****ing kidding? Most of us weren't alive to see 1966 let alone get a letter from the queen. Have you had yours framed *******? Amazingly my memory only goes back til I was about 6 or 7, if you're over 100 and can remember those seasons then bully for you! And please get the **** out and don't come back grandma!

bullshit always stinks no matter how you try to dress it up!

 I'm shocked, you're actually a GT fan? Why didn't I pick this up years ago? you start a trolling thread just to write those few little words  it's music to your ears isn't it?

PS. You're a shitty human neckless!

Firstly, I want to make it quite clear that this is not a troll. This a true assesment of Milney......

He has been a great player for us but GT was correct. He does not perform on the big stage. If we are going to take the next step, he has to be delisted. Rehab permitting, Xavier Clarke can take his spot. With the injuries that X has had, I don't think he will be able to play in the midfield. Forward pocket should now be his spot!!!!

With Milney gone and some money freed up in the salary cap, we should move heaven and earth to get Lovett. If we have to trade our first pick then so be it.

We need players ready to go now!!!!

Your thoughts?

who cares about Thomas anyway.
after his contract runs out with channel 9 he will not be heard from much.

why don't you go back into your little box and stay there. ysince you never have any positive comments to say

well said. What a bitter bunch of pr!cks.

I liked the dogs before i read/heard their whining over the prelim loss this year.

YA LOST CAUSE YA WEREN'T GOOD ENOUGH

2001 - 17 games, 27 goals, 14 tackles
2002 - 21 games, 50 goals, 28 tackles
2003 - 14 games, 26 goals, 13 tackles
2004 - 21 games, 46 goals, 26 tackles
2005 - 24 games, 61 goals, 36 tackles
2006 - 22 games, 29 goals, 39 tackles
2007 - 22 games, 32 goals, 36 tackles
2008 - 24 games, 60 goals, 37 tackles
2009 - 23 games, 46 goals, 65 tackles

Over his last two years he has 106 goals from 47 games, which is almost identical to his performance in 2004-05. While he may not have long left, he is instrumental in St Kilda getting to finals. His tackle numbers were also vastly improved this year.

Nice one Captain. I'm not sure how these weigh up against the players who's names are being bandied around, but Milney is being urged to play further up the ground, so he has stepped up with tackles. If only he could swap a couple of goals from the h&a season for a couple of misses in the granny, I'd be pretty happy.

Milne was bad on sarurday. Three errors in a row. But he is a great player! As one of the smallest AFL players, he has taken some amazing contested marks, and some hard and fast tackles! I was expecting him to shine in the rain, it didn't happen, Milne is still a great player and I would hate to see him dropped from St.Kilda!

According to final training reports and the day itself - it looks like nerves.

Time for the hypnotist/sport psych should we/he make it next year.

Too right. I am disgusted with a few visiting supporters in this topic. How would you lot like losing a tough slog of a GF to a team that's won 63 of their last 70 games and then having ####wit fans of other teams coming and stirring you? Red white and blue and Harry Crumb - pathetic.

As Cats fans I guess we know how it feels from last year...

With Milne, I think the fact is that he's purely an opportunistic small forward, which is a real hit-and-miss role. You might only get 2 or 3 chances the entire match, but when you do you need to make them count. If you don't, your stats end up looking terrible. 5 kicks, 3 goals and you've done your job. 5 kicks, 0 goals looks like you've had a shocker.

The bigger issue is that Milne can't really play anywhere else. Lyon seems to be trying to move him up the ground a little, but he's not the sort of player you can throw into the midfield for a quarter. At the Cats, guys like Chappy, Johnson, Byrnes and Varcoe can be moved into the centre or wing if they're not getting their hands on it. You can't really do that with Milne. Maybe X Clarke (who can go up on the wing, flanks, etc) might be better than Milney in that context........

This post is spot on.

If you watch the replay Milne was front and square for many a contest and unfortunately the ball didn't fall his way.

Look at his role in the play which lead to McQualter's miss, he could have snapped it on his left foot, but did the team thing, drew a man and laid out the red carpet for McQualts, which unfortunately he couldn't get nail.

It's no surprise that the goals dried up in the latter half of the year due to becoming far too Riewoldt conscious. Milne was in the clear inside 50 many a time, in the QF against the Pies I counted at least 5 times he was free inside 50 and didn't receive the ball. It's a tough gig.

If he could improve his set shot work (big ask I know), he'd be a great player.

Let's not forget he was included in the 40 man AA squad this year, so he's obviously doing something right.

I wouldn't trade the Milnedog for the world.

One of the more staggering finals series a player has performed. Milne's pissweak performances should be real cause for concern. Went missing when the real heat was on. Just when you really needed him. All good to see his wanky celebrations during the regular season but he needs to back it up by kicking goals in finals.

That grubbered kick at goal in the GF was a bloody disgrace. Lyon should and will have had a stern word with him about his gutless performance.

You could say this about all of Essendon and their supporters.

That missed kick of Quinn's at goal in the EF was a bloody disgrace. Knights should and will have had a stern word with Monfries about his gutless performance.

Bit harsh I thought.

Harsh? How is it harsh when you've waited almost half a century for a flag and needed players like Milne to stand up to finally get your club another flag and what he does is go completely missing when needed. It isn't unfair to say had he played like he did during the regular season you would have won the premiership. On a wet day small forwards were important and Milne did not perform.

It is this mindset from Saints fans I don't understand. It isn't like he is a kid these days. How long can you stick with someone that continually fails when it counts. Riewoldt can be forgiven because of the conditions but Milne doesn't deserve the same sympathy:thumbsdown:

Harsh? How is it harsh when I've waited almost half a century for a *** and needed players like Lloyd to stop falling over to finally get our club another *** and what he does is go completely homo when needed by me. It isn't unfair to say had he played like he did during the regular season he might not have got the chop at the end of the year. In a wet bed dopey forwards are important and Lloyd did not perform.

OK - well that's your opinion.
