Green Machine Vs The Man Mundine

oh god i am hoping mundine gets humiliated, confidence is a good thing, but i refuse to support a man with such a high opinion of himself, and lets not forget when he said America deserved the September 11 attacks

Just booked the fight. and am lookin foward to it.
Big Green fan, but as the fight gets closer i worry more about Mundine winning then previously.
Ive always thought Mundine just beat crap oppents, but this will be his chance to show what he has got.
So it starts at 9.30 approx, when i booked it the lady sorta thought around 8, depending on how long the undercard fights went.

Also why dont we have a boxing forum? surely if their is a fishing one(no offence to the fishing boys) we could start a boxing.
Ive just really started to get into boxing and want to find out more about it.

So even if we could start more boxing threads here. because im a complete novice at boxing nowledge but want to find out more.

green needs to come out and own the middle of the ring to win. mundine will counter punch all night and danny will cop a few coming in, but if he can wear them (i think he will) and get inside mundines jab, he will hurt anthony.

if a weak puncher like sven ottke can knock mundine senseless then danny's punches will do the job if he can land "the" shot. mundine has not beaten any world class fighters. he has made a living off beating the absolute suitcase out of fighters that were dragged out of retirement homes. sure he beat echols (who was very slow and sloppy), but he lost to that puerto rican bloke (forget his name) and kessler and looked a bit afriad to bang toe to toe with these blokes.

danny has also beat up plenty of also rans but has beaten a world class fighter in eric lucas. he had beyer beaten hands down in their first encounter and was out foxed and out boxed in their second encounter where i believe over confidence played a big part on dannys part.

i say green within six, he will come out and pressure mundine. you can be as fast as you like but one will eventually hit and green is fit enough to bang for round after round.

cant wait for tarver v hopkins in june either, should be a great fight too.

Anyways will probably worth watching at the pub for the atmosphere so off to the Eltham I think, as for milnedog44 try the Glenferrie Hotel or the Hawthorn, I think most pubs will be showing it though.

Cheers :thumbsu:

I almost feel like having a small bet on this one, but have no idea who will actually win, all emotion aside.

Head to Head

Anthony Mundine 1.90
Danny Green 1.92

Mundine by KO, TKO or Disqualification 4.50
Mundine by Points Decision 3.00
Green by KO, TKO or Disqualification 3.00
Green by Points Decision 5.00

Drawn Fight 21.00

Probably shouldn't gamble on Boxing.

I'm chucking some money on Mudine to win on points.

I think the man will win but i can't see him knocking him out, the longer the fight goes the better chance mundine has.

"The man". Just think about that nickname for a sec.

I'm hoping Green by KO, and I'm hoping he doesn't stop hitting him there. I think it'll be Mundine in points, but HOPE its the Machine.

Fingers crossed for Green. Mundine deserves to start favourite.

Great reason to get to the pub on a Wednesday night!

Green on points.
