Pay holding the ball the same way in the first quarter and we likely win by 80. Maybe we should take the U18 pathway away from Victoria and make the Vic clubs pay for elite junior pathways themselves. Because that's what occurs up in Sydney. Special win that. Past times we would have rolled over, but our mental toughness this year has been key to our success. Even when we're 5 goals down we readjusted and got to work at ground level. Contested and turnover game really shined through in the end.

Grundy's hit out work was awesome, Gulden's work rate was through the roof, Heeney another solid outing. Rowys grunt and Adams composure I really liked as well. Good teams find a way to win those types of games.

Grundy was best on by a country mile, and turned the game, will he get votes?

Gulden Heeney Warner all great, but I thought Adams played his best game in the red and white and his roving to Grundy was crucial.

Rowbottom was like an energiser bunny.

Tmac back was massive, the defence was under the pump

Our ability to keep our feet is massive Wicks, Mclean had moments

Wicks ability to find space is massive.

I thought Mcdonald did a lot he wont get credit for in terms of contests and he started the decent forward delivery,

Two guys need a mention beyond that.

Papley- awesome forward, but when we were shit early, he never stopped busting his arse, had a few turnovers, but his pressure was leading the team at the time, he was massive.

Amartey - I was wrong, he is really improving, that last Warner goal was a cats goal at the other end without him, his marking is improving and he doesn't drop his head

Our ability to score quickly and change things up is massive, when we hadnt scored a goal I said we will win by 24, we don't drop our heads or fold anymore

That was some sort of game from Grundy. Heeney and Warner had exceptional patches throughout the afternoon but Gulden put together the most complete performance in terms of staying involved. That late goal was just icing on an incredible cake. His best game all year.

Thought Amartey was impressive in front of goals after some early misses, really important and growing each week as an important cog in our team.

Grundy was exceptional.

At the final siren I caught the expressions of a few Geelong players. They looked shellshocked. Holmes looked up at the scoreboard and gave a look which said "I can't believe we lost by 30". Very much felt like (at least for today) they fired their absolute best shot and ended up losing by 5 goals.

Just a great 2 and a half quarters by the team.
