That was a weird game. I felt like there were large stretches of that game where we really weren't very good at all, not just in the first quarter. But I also feel like the majority of that can be attributed to the Cats. They were damn good. I can't recall a Swans game this year where we've had such little time and space to work with. We had to make risky plays and execute them with surgical precision just to get ahead of that mob, and when we failed they consistently punished us. So credit to them.

And it probably makes our win even more impressive.

I think some had poor games on the whole but our cream rose to the top. No matter how tough the game is, you're probably going to win if Heeney, Gulden, Grundy, Rowbottom, Warner, Blakey, McInerney, Melican, McCartin, Lloyd, Amartey and McDonald all have good games.

Yeah it was patchy for sure, credit to the cats,

But its hard to list who had a poor game for us too, Florent did some frustrating stuff.
An odd game,

One of the most mature performances we have had in some time.

Honestly I was expecting us to panic further, and probably lose by a decent margin.

But we have managed to settle down, we made changes and once again we proved we are a quality side.

Its performances like this that show a side has premiership credentials, I have been converted, fully believe we can win it this year.

this team has some sort of character this year Gee Whizz.

Also what’s the story with Blakey? He was limping at the end and looked a bit dispondent

Melicans maturity is massive.

Rampe Mccartin and Melican had large patches under the pump, but the fact we can rely on 3 key defenders to be so smart and composed is massive.

Used the word Massive too much, but it is massive

  • Grundy plus the big 3 in the midfield were huge in that turn around. Jordon again did a huge job in the second half.
  • Good to see Amartey actually step up and actually convert big goals at important moments. Logan no scoreboard but thought he did have some huge score assists in important moments.
  • The last 2.5 quarters were as impressive as the first 1.5 were concerning. In a way, great to be in the same position from the 22 GF nightmare and find a way back, good confidence should be taken from that....but the starts are a slight worry...as shown in said 22 GF, sometimes the opposition mightn't let you back in. Take the positive approach for now, but hopefully we can fix those starts...because we will get caught out one day and god forbid it be in a final.
  • The new HTB rule is as big a shit show as ever. Payed it only one way in the first quarter....then stopped paying it all together. Granted the way it was interpreted in the last 3 qtrs is how you want it, but **** it's so open to interpretation and changes qtr to qtr it's infuriating to watch as a fan.
  • Have to give credit to Chris Scott, how the **** he's got that team 8-5 and contending with that midfield shows what a good coach he is.

Took a while to shake off the post-bye cobwebs but overwhelmed them once we got going. Great that we stepped up to kick the last three goals rather than going on the defensive. Right now we have too many weapons to contain.

Pretty sure the last time we gave up first six goals and still won was against Richmmond in 2017.

Loved Grundy's game. Worked really hard to keep us in the contest, had an incredible 21 contesteds. Plus he sold some candy and had a bounce, so he'll be dining off those for awhile.
