To be fair that’s pretty much feelings b midfield playing although perhaps their b midfield is about as good as it gets for them unless a few more Geelong falcons make it back for money and picks
Yeah it was mentioned pre-game that Geelong are one of the worst in the comp for conceding midfield disposals.

I thought their midfield actually did pretty well all things considered.

genuinely feel like we left a ten goal win on the table with some of the slips and errors going through the centre square

Not that it matters much but I would have liked to have won a bit more comprehensively just to help ease the memory of the year that can’t be referred to

Only thing i was thinking after the first 6 goals was how do we get back into the contest none the less a 60 point win!!

Geelong started exceptionally well gotta give them credit for that they made us fumble and look uncertain.

But to beat us you have to do it for 4 quarters which is far from easy to do.

We have scoring options everywhere incredibly potent.

Most balanced Sydney side in a very very long time.

Evening folks, great win, great season.
Can anyone explain what I've done to get constant notifications when you guys start new threads?:confounded:

That was a weird game. I felt like there were large stretches of that game where we really weren't very good at all, not just in the first quarter. But I also feel like the majority of that can be attributed to the Cats. They were damn good. I can't recall a Swans game this year where we've had such little time and space to work with. We had to make risky plays and execute them with surgical precision just to get ahead of that mob, and when we failed they consistently punished us. So credit to them.

And it probably makes our win even more impressive.

I think some had poor games on the whole but our cream rose to the top. No matter how tough the game is, you're probably going to win if Heeney, Gulden, Grundy, Rowbottom, Warner, Blakey, McInerney, Melican, McCartin, Lloyd, Amartey and McDonald all have good games.

i could only watch in bits but i thought once we got on a roll we were our own worst enemies, we made mistakes that cost us opportunities and kept them in the game
but basically, we outclassed them

That was some sort of game from Grundy. Heeney and Warner had exceptional patches throughout the afternoon but Gulden put together the most complete performance in terms of staying involved. That late goal was just icing on an incredible cake. His best game all year.

Thought Amartey was impressive in front of goals after some early misses, really important and growing each week as an important cog in our team.
Amartey is really growing this year. He kept coming and coming. If he keeps this workrate up, people will be talking up another swans rookie wonder

Unfortunately didn't get to watch the game, only brief score updates. I'll be watching replay tonight, but when I first checked the score and we were 30 points down in the first, my tlfirst thought was, typical slow start but we'll run over them in the end. Seems I was right. Would prefer not to let opposition get such a jump on us though.
