I can visualise the big footy crew spending weekends at gaso's place for interstate games, especially on gather round when the place is empty.Well if you can’t attend you need a BIG Tv
The experience in the Telstra shop is abysmal.
I understand that some customers need time to set up accounts or to resolve billing issues and so-forth, but a straightforward retail sale ought never require an "appointment" which requires a 30 to 40 minute wait, especially when the "consultant" took time to explain the process and then had to search out the person with the iPad who was making the appointment bookings - they wasted more than the 3 or 4 minutes it would have taken to make the sale.
It's always been the same.
The Telstra shop is awful.
Over to you Gasometer
What brand and tech?I saved $1200 on a new 86 inch tv
I like Black Friday
Female dog piss.Is this likely to be caused by a bloody dog?

Oh. Now I understand the term golden showers.Female dog piss.
It is completely illogical that they should take as long as they do to sell you a phone, especially if you're already a customer. As you know I'm with optus and their b/s is never-ending
It's an easy transfer, but the campaigners didn't do a smart switch ( I did) and the instore bullshit was over an hour plus the 11 hours of smart switch at homeIt is completely illogical that they should take as long as they do to sell you a phone, especially if you're already a customer.
At the very least, in that 90 minutes they should have transferred all of the crap off the old phone onto the new one.
On second thoughts, maybe it's better that they didn't.

And that sweeeeeet 85" telly.
Hope you're going to disable all those motion settings, blur and judder reduction, sharpness, black stretch, dynamic contrast and brightness etc. so that the picture is optimal. Otherwise I'll do all that for you when I get to your place.
Apparently, that's being considered. If our discussed HFC provider eventually does mobile, I will pay a mint for that!
As you know I'm with optus and their b/s is never-ending.
My recent phone and plan upgrade, I said to the "optus concierge", "this better not take 65mins like my last visit". He assures me it'll be quick.
Move to this seat, now this desk, just under 90 minutes. Go **** yourself optus!

I recently got an LG OLED (not QLED), smaller size than yours and love it.LG QLED
My eyesight is meh so I could barely tell the difference between the next $2000 level up

I stand corrected.
I stand corrected.
Have you disabled all of the smart picture settings yet?
All motion settings to off (or low). Preferably off.No
The things come with no manual anymore
I haven’t been home enough on weekends to have a thorough look
What should I do for Sport?
Did watch a Kayo Mini of this years finals and the long shot from the wing was a little below wat I expected

Same for judder and other image "enhancement" settings like noise reduction and blur reduction.
Sharpness to a low-ish setting.
It all seems counter-intuitive to disable the features that the manufacturers add in, claiming improvement to image quality but there you go. Most of these things add digital artefacts and / or create intermediate frames which can really mess up sports broadcasts.
Some TVs allow you to set the picture settings to all inputs, others require each input to be set individually.
Do you use Foxtel or Kayo? Do you have any other devices plugged in like blueray or DVD? Do you use an external audio system or soundbar etc?
Just realised that you said Kayo. Is that from a built in app or a device like a Chromecast?
LG has a guide, more user friendly than the other brands. No
