Given his failed medical at Carlton, it's hard to see others doing anything other than a pick 60 deal
Essendon are no chance to accept that - he either stays or walks/limps into the PSD.

Hang on, read between the lines. Maybe the reason our club is saying that we only want Gumby through the PSD is because your club's making unrealistic demands and being hard to deal with.
"Only interested in getting him via the PSD"
Where are the lines to read between?
You either didn't read or understand my post. If Gumby is only worth a third round pick and your club is demanding much more then he is worth what do you expect Freo to do? Fold and cough up a high draft pick? Or be firm in their stance and look into other avenues?
What about his passed mediacal at Freo?
Bond (Freo's football manager) made it clear on trade radio that Gumby has had a medical, but they haven't had the full results come through yet. In short, he HASN'T passed a his medical YET. He may well do, but people have been talking as if it has. Freo wont move on Gumby until that's all cleared, hence the delay in any progress.
Cheers for the info, I got sucked in by the bloody media doing their own thing once again.
We would have to sweeten the deal though, do not particularly like that part
Fair way out I know, but do Dons fans have expectations that Daniher is a round 1 2013 starter?

You won't if he puts a figure on his head - that adds up to a 3 year deal.

He wont have to go through the PSD. If he doesnt sign a contract then he will be delisted and then he can leave to the club of his choice. (This is my understanding anyway)
November 1 - Commencement to Delisted Player Free Agency Period.
November 13, 2pm - End to Delisted Player Free Agency Period.
If this is true, wont can't all players do this e.g. Kurt Tippett?
What is his kicking like?
If he doesn't sign he can go into the Preseason Draft or National Draft with a price on his head. It'll likely work for Gumbleton, Tippet wouldn't last long at all though.
