What I don't understand is why he did it at the moment.

He's had plenty of opportunities to punch someone before. There's been times when we've been losing and he was getting niggled and getting crucified by the umps, and he didn't do anything. But now, when we're all over the Eagles, he decides to do it. He could have atleast done it to Cousins last year in his comeback game or something.

He was not unconscious, he was able to get up afterwards. Sure he went down like a bucket of spuds. Sure it looks bad.
Your supporters thought what waters did to Copland the other year was a good hard bump and acceptable.I find that a lot worse, as it was far more damaging to the player.

I think this incident has been a little over exaggerated. Some people are claiming it's the worst they've seen in 15 years, the most disgusting act, etc.

Is it? I don't think so.

That said though, it was a stupid thing of him to do. I'll be surprised if he gets less than 4 weeks for this... karma will eat up this suspension if his wrist is broken though.

I don't really want to feed you for anymore ridiculous comments but I'll respond anyway..

I'd be wanting a free kick, but wouldn't want the player to punch the other guy and knock him out. It's a joke and I thought the AFL and it's players were past that sort of thing.

To give you an example that beggars belief....we win tonight by 70 points and LOSE the free kick count 25 to 29. It has been this way for several years. We used to get told thast we lost the free kick count 'cos we were second to the ball. I believe the clearance count was about 25 to 10 tonight.

Oh wow, I read all this screaming about doggy style and acting (role playing?) and I thought Hall had either killed someone or made an awesome porno.

The punch itself wasn't much, would have bounced off pretty much anywhere else, issue was the fact that it woulda hit the mental nerve, which runs down the side of the mandible, pretty much dead on. When you consider that even a hefty slap can knock that puppy out of action for a split second, it doesn't take much of a punch to take it out of commission long enough for the brain to doa quick ctrl-alt-delete.
