They need the ratings boost that would be associated with that players inclusion next season if it happens. It may not be fair but the AFLW in it's current state is not really a very serious competition anyway(this may change eventually).

Men who become women winning olympic gold medals is more of an issue IMO.

With this precedent now in place......what's stoping Sandilands or a Mumford wanting to play women's footy if they decided to make the change?

Because it's probably a tiny league filled with social players and people playing for the fun of it, and there's still no record from anyone involved of her being so outrageously overpowering and physically dominant that she posed any sort of danger to anyone.

Yep the thing that people are missing out is the fact that she's probably not good enough to make the AFLW even with her height. She'd hardly be one of the best players in the AFLW. Only 4 players in the inaugural draft and 2 last year from the competition were good enough to make the AFLW. She clearly wasn't in the best dozen or so in the league last year.

Can't tell if I'm in the minority here by thinking this is not appropriate and she shouldn't be allowed to play.

Biologically speaking, surely her testosterone levels would be significantly higher than the other women. She was born a man and has the physical size and strength of one which is a clear and obvious advantage over the other female players.

How is this fair?

I’m worried about the safety of the actual female players.

A 100kg man ragdolling a 65kg Woman is extremely dangerous. He may not be skilled or fit but at the end of the day he’s twice as strong as every other player.

A sad day for women’s footy ...
