Sam Hunt would urely be a chance to make his Debut in the hoops, although i think Egan and Scarlett are enough to cover Carltons forward line.

I know this isn't amongst his list of usual injuries, but this is EXACTLY what we DIDN'T need for 2 major reasons:
This has the potential to be a long and painful season. I hope it won't be, and we are only one match in, but the portents are not good.
- It's just plain crap to have our new captain out, our good communicator.
- If that means Ling is captain, we're ****ed.

The same idiots who decided to make Harley captain will surely make Ling take over as vice. This is a great chance for Thompson to try something different and take a risk or 2. Give it to either Chapman or Mooney... they are the most insperational players in the side.. Harley a good communicator?? counts for sweet fu*k all when times are tough on game day.
I cannot believe this! Seriously, this is just crazy! 6 longggggg weeks. I don't know what to think anymore. Everything is just going bad already!

That's really bad news for Harls, and the club....we were all worried we'd replaced one injury prone captain with another but we just have to deal with it. Interesting times ahead for the club.

At least Linga won't be affected by the curse. It would be unfair to slap a captain's curse on top of the Curse of the Redhead

Please, please, please, please, please don't make Ling captain. We all saw how well we played when he was captain against Brisbane in the NAB Cup. With him leading by example, we should change our mascot from Cats to Crabs. Knowing Ling, he'd do a Kane Johnson and kick it 50m the wrong way.

Captain's curse alive and well at the Cattery. Why didn't someone with a bit of vision retain David Clarke Jnr on the list all those years ago, and name as non-playing captain then we would have a fit King and Harley. Maybe its time to Chas Gardiner as Captain at least then he'll get injured and Thompson wont have to pick him anymore. Deadset he must have photos of Thomo and Chook or something. WHY DOES HE KEEP GETTING CONSIDERED FOR A GAME HE IS HOPELESS. At least some of my dreamteam bulldogs got a few stats for me thanks to him, that is about all he is good for.

Whats all this "captains curse" stuff?? Harley was never fit anyway. He was injured all season last year and was never going to front up for the majority of this season. I'm afraid appointing Harley captain is just another brainless ****ed up decision from a club we all hand our hard earned over to.

I must admit he was looking ordinary on the weekend; slow, not many touches and not much on field leadership shown IMO.
Bring on Mooney as captain, it is inevitable, the guy is a born leader!
Also, Sam Hunt has the goods IMO. Quicker and more penetrative by foot than Harley but just doesn’t have the same presence.

I noticed he did something to his finger quite early on, but figured it was relatively minor like a jar.
With Ling as captain, there will be an unique sight to savour - 18 players jogging around without opponents pointing into space. That'll win games.
Should've appointed Chapman captain all along.
