We already had Noah Long and Campbell Chesser at the club, he was already mates with both before t
Drafted Archer Reid in the same draft, he played with him in Vic Country.
He has mates at the club already.
Will he get upset when you delist Chesser or are you just going to have to keep him till HR signs a 10 year contract?
I'd be more interested seeing how he goes under a new coach, not consigned to the gimp wing, personally.

Actually, they did try to trade one to get Shanahan.
They also have nowhere near the collateral.

That’s a pretty optimistic view on both us and Melbourne. Both missed finals last year and other teams that also missed should be better (suns,saints, Freo,pies)
There’s a good chance both Dons and Dee’s are bottom 6 again next season
Edit: we also have 2 2nds which will be in demand for teams with academy players looking for points. So that’s 3 FRP + 2nd year pick trading opening up. That’s potentially 4 firsts that could be traded.
That’s a good haul for any player if everything was on the table
We'll likely have two top 4 picks next year, including a probable pick 1.....

Also, he has another year on his contract.
WCE have no obligation to accept a middling offer from Essendon for him.
That's without even considering the fact that Essendon themselves have many list needs. If they make a big play for Reid, it shows they learnt nothing from Dodo's mismanagement of the past 20+ decades, considering it'd wipe out all their best picks from at least 2025 and 2026 just for WCE to consider it.
....And we'd still be more appealing than Essendon....
