Someone from the club or in the media should call out the off the ball stuff Reid cops publicly, thats what it took for opposition to stop with Daicos, Reid needs the same.
That would make a huge difference to how he is allowed to act on field, his attitude, etc

I would also say the media is one of the biggest offenders not defenders.

They gas these players up day after day and yet act so offended when they act like humans.

They need to be openly criticised more often, any time they're called out for their shit they start moral grandstanding and act as if they're saints when they're nothing but poison. He’s achieved precisely nothing in his career so far.

If he's really getting offered 10 x 2 million he pretty much has already achieved everything he can from a financial point of view in his career. He can be the highest paid player ever (depending on what the AFL really paid Ablett to go to GC). Eventually he will mature and want to be the best player he can, but financially he has already conquered the AFL, just has to sign.

A situation like this with a player who has widely being discussed as looking to come home and rumours he is unhappy at WCE. Nothing official, but when there’s smoke… there’s often fire. He is playing like a man who doesn’t want to be there either

Hawks won’t have the cap space. Nil chance. Someone like geelong will have plenty with recent retirements gone and pending, and st kilda Carlton etc will do the usual throwing everything at a star with an unbalanced book.

He was out for a couple of weeks prior to xmas and missed a block of training.

Talent is undeniable, could even go on to become the GOAT for all we know, but problem is he's acting like he's already on the way there.

Needs to knuckle down, get humble again and just play footy.

Good example of why 3 year draft contracts don’t work in reality.

If a talented player wants out you end up with a situation like this. A frustrated talented player wasting his and the clubs time that gets emotions involved and drags everyone involved down.

Instead of everyone just accepting it come years end and him moving on which is looking inevitable, there will be posturing from WCE for 10,000,000 draft index points and telling Reid he ain’t going anywhere without someone selling the world, and Reid getting hostile towards the club.

Forcing one extra year of these scenarios doesn’t benefit anyone involved and only makes the break ups longer and more bitter

We are just going to apply the lessons we learnt from Geelong when they refused to trade TK home... who just wanted to take his ASD son home to his extended family to ease the strain on his wife who wasn't enjoying snoozy town. Geelong seemed intent on forcing one extra year out of him then demanding a small farm, so... you know.
