I would also say the media is one of the biggest offenders not defenders.Someone from the club or in the media should call out the off the ball stuff Reid cops publicly, thats what it took for opposition to stop with Daicos, Reid needs the same.
That would make a huge difference to how he is allowed to act on field, his attitude, etc
They need to be openly criticised more often, any time they're called out for their shit they start moral grandstanding and act as if they're saints when they're nothing but poison. Doesn't help when the average idiot laps up the constant recycled and rehashed opinions on the same handful of topics over and over however.I would also say the media is one of the biggest offenders not defenders.
They gas these players up day after day and yet act so offended when they act like humans.
The Media in this nation is beyond cooked.
How long did he miss?Clearly don't know what you're talking about
I’m seeing ads for him apologizing for his “fend off” for a protein company.
He’s achieved precisely nothing in his career so far.
Heading firmly towards FIGJAM territory unless he pulls his head in.
Not seeing anything worthy of the 3 or 4 first rounders that WC supporters say he's worth. Not saying he won't become that player, but he's not exactly setting the world on fire.
I'd be pretty dissapointed if Essendon paid a bunch of picks for him as it currently stands.
A situation like this with a player who has widely being discussed as looking to come home and rumours he is unhappy at WCE. Nothing official, but when there’s smoke… there’s often fire. He is playing like a man who doesn’t want to be there either"A situation like this"?
It's 2 games into his second season, you have no clue what's going to happen so just let play out.
Had a concussion and a calf injury. He didn’t have an interrupted pre season, he is just not enjoying WCE. Clearly doesn’t want to be there and isn’t going to put in the effort
Hawks won’t have the cap space. Nil chance. Someone like geelong will have plenty with recent retirements gone and pending, and st kilda Carlton etc will do the usual throwing everything at a star with an unbalanced book.Does he feel remaining at WCE will help him win a flag or is he watching the ladder closely?

I was at the game today, were you?A situation like this with a player who has widely being discussed as looking to come home and rumours he is unhappy at WCE. Nothing official, but when there’s smoke… there’s often fire. He is playing like a man who doesn’t want to be there either
Lol calf injury and concussion, you mean he was not committed to the club professionallyHad a concussion and a calf injury.
Are you being deliberately obtuse, or simply clueless?
Ahh the break up is going to be a sour one from the sounds of it.I was at the game today, were you?
One big thing i noticed during the breaks is that he loves to get around his teammates, high 5s, taps, etc. Purposefully went around to every player at the end of the first quarter, despite being quiet himself.
Doesn't seem unhappy at all.
He was out for a couple of weeks prior to xmas and missed a block of training.Lol calf injury and concussion, you mean he was not committed to the club professionally
“Reid had an interrupted pre-season and was placed on a managed program ahead of round one, with concerns surrounding his fitness after returning from an off-season break.”
From a recent article.
So wouldn’t surprise me a bloke coming back out of shape ended up with some sort of calf niggle
Not as sour as Geelong supporters when he snubs their club.Ahh the break up is going to be a sour one from the sounds of it.
Reports also he had a few too many donuts and beersHe was out for a couple of weeks prior to xmas and missed a block of training.
Of course he's underdone.
Why,Is he going to essendon??Not as sour as Geelong supporters when he snubs their club.
Why,Is he going to essendon??
We are just going to apply the lessons we learnt from Geelong when they refused to trade TK home... who just wanted to take his ASD son home to his extended family to ease the strain on his wife who wasn't enjoying snoozy town. Geelong seemed intent on forcing one extra year out of him then demanding a small farm, so... you know.Good example of why 3 year draft contracts don’t work in reality.
If a talented player wants out you end up with a situation like this. A frustrated talented player wasting his and the clubs time that gets emotions involved and drags everyone involved down.
Instead of everyone just accepting it come years end and him moving on which is looking inevitable, there will be posturing from WCE for 10,000,000 draft index points and telling Reid he ain’t going anywhere without someone selling the world, and Reid getting hostile towards the club.
Forcing one extra year of these scenarios doesn’t benefit anyone involved and only makes the break ups longer and more bitter
Feels like he’s building the case to force a trade.
The JHF playbook.
