Port does play an attacking brand of footy. Only problem is its high risk, high reward type results. If it works just like all of Ports win 2014, It looks good. Don't pull it off like the showdown vs the crows... well the results speak for itself. Missing Ryder and Monfries has hurt them as there is an over reliance on key guys sych as Lobbe, Wingard, Grey, Boak, Wines etc...

Your right , this fitness and opinions of three years high speed then you lose it , rubbish clubs change people all the time , every club runs the same amouint of times the same amount of games the general time of between maybe 8 and 12 years , of course they slow up. Football has been ruined in skill level by scrums/packs abundance of ball ups horrible rule set up, and by teams thinking they need 22 Olympic 100m gold medalists, the game is not that complicated, but a lot of folk talk it up into science that it really hasn't got.
At that level of course you have to have some greyhounds , but also you need maybe 22 Sammy Mitchells and a couple of super speedsters.
Leigh Mathews does bull dust on you know , he's a media man that has to make intelligent sounding statements,which are really rubbish because even though every one listens a because he's a VFL/AFL hero, but, he is a sycophant like the rest to Fox footy and what ever.

Fair enough. Respectfully disagree. A lot of ports inside 50's were 5-10 m deep, coming straight back out again. You took 6 marks inside 50 for the whole match to our 17, and we also had 49 rebound 50's to your 26. We held you to 52 points at 3/4 time, then got some junk time goals in the last when 60+ points down, our defence clearly beat your attack. Dixon held goalless by Talia, etc. As for your defence against our forwards, was no contest, 144 points scored, our equal highest ever in a showdown. Fairly comprehensive IMO.

If I go through the tape I could snapshot this happening time and again. Not complaining - well done, it was our problem to deal with (which we didn't), and something that would not have happened as much if Schulz were providing another threat.

There is a clear top 4 and a clear bottom 4, but everything inbetween will be determined by injury, including Adelaide in that middle section. Unfortunately Port start two down, no fault of their own, but the fault of those two idiots for not thinking of their club and taking a deal last year and they would be playing now!

I don't think Lobbe did too poorly. Neither did Young who would of probably been last picked and come out for Monfries.
