Ried is a second year player coming off an undone preseason he’s not the ultra professional Daicos, Sheezel ect accumulators kind would be much better with seasoned mids that can win there own ball around him. Kelly is goosed now does his best work as 2/3 receiver not a number one midfielder. Yeo is the only front line midfielder we have.

Going by player ratings, Kelly's last 2 seasons were two of his best 3.

I would hold off judgement until you get a bit more data than one poor game. Same with Harley. Daicos was shitful in Collingwood's first game this year.

And yet we still haven't played Smillie who is out with a hammy. The guy is a jet. Also hopefully we will also see Hotton later in the year who was rated number 1 by some recruiters prior to doing his ACL last year. I haven't even mentioned Jonty Faull who was the highest rated KPF in the draft by many recruiters and we have a great goal sneak in Jasper Alger who will get a game too later in the year. The future is rosy for us. We were bold at the draft and it will put us ahead of many other teams. This may not be apparent this year but it will be more apparent in 2 years. So I would not be making a decision as early as round 10 as that is far too early to be answering the question properly.

Not this year though. The key defence is still shite, although hopefully we get more than 1.5 games out of Logue this year (not looking likely to be much more, just about time to write him off in planning as a regular starter).

I think there were some positives today v Port

North are miles ahead, how could they not be. We've got the initial roster set up naw and we just need to keep pumping low picks into the 22.

I'd prefer to be where we are though than the Eagles. Continually trading back and picking half backs/forwards. Horrible list management.

Both North and WC made horrendous trades last year and Richmond were the beneficiary of both.

How is it horrendous when we havent seen what Whitlock will do for North.

Needs a good 4-5 years before the trade can be graded.

By then North and Richmond could be top 4 contenders.

Needs a good 4-5 years before the trade can be graded.

By then North and Richmond could be top 4 contenders.

North traded a very likely top 3 pick for a pick in the 20’s.

Whitlock would want to be almost Carey-esque for it to not be considered horrendous.
