İf and a big İF at that , we were to grab pick two in the draft, what way would anyone lean?
Cadman - easily best frwd in the draft and has high work rate and will set us up for years to come with him and Mitch as genuine frwd KPF threats!!!
Wardlaw - inside alpha mid we NEED !
Tsatas - inside/outside speedy mid with talent to burn!

İt's so hard to pick that I don't want pick 2! LoL.
I struggle to split Cadman and Wardlaw. Tsatas for me doesn't have massive hurt factor and I could see him sliding behind Sheezle and Mackenzie.

1. Cadman - Everything you want in a KP prospect.
2. Wardlaw - Best player in the pool, hamstring the only concern
3. Sheezle - Highest potential? de goey/stringer like with the doucheness
4. Mackenzie - Elite skills and just a smart footballer
5. Tsatas - Workhorse with speed and versatility

All I can say is please Gold Coast pick Buttslinger

? Gold Coast are giving up their pick 7 in a salary dump and it is behind our pick 6. Did you mean to write GWS Pick the Buttslinger?

Hawks
Out: Mitchell, 6, 7, 24
In: Bowes, 2, 16, 26

Pies
In: Mitchell + 24
Out: 16

Eagles
Out: 2, 26
In: 6, 7

Prefer - 6, 7, 16 and 24 (+ Bowes).

That's a better haul than - 2, 16 and 26 (+ Bowes).

Not that it means too much, but the draft pick calculator has the points differential equating to pick 20.

Is it time the Hawks started looking at the USA to bring in supreme athletes with college football background?

No AFL club has invested time in the USA.

When someone does and strikes gold they will all wake up !.

Watching the contracts of 800k, 900k a year for players that haven't set the world on fire just seems fraught with danger.

I think clubs have become desperate.

The game has changed and the main craft you need is getting across the ground for 4 qtrs.

Is it time we start looking at our OWN academy in USA and set up scouts ?
Where do I sign up to help with this???
Going into the wayback machine, Kirk Gibson was one of the most gifted athletes I ever saw. All American in gridiron, sub 4.4 forty yard time, didn't play baseball until his third year at Michigan State, yet made his living in the MLB. Unbelievably fierce competitor who I believe would have relished everything about the AFL. Surely that type exists at the university level today somewhere. Some very gifted basketball players as well with far fewer openings at the professional level.

The best rugby league athletes have all failed to translate their talent to AFL. They all went, with their tail between their legs, back to their code.

Some of the best Gaelic footballers have made it in the AFL but most do not.
Translation of cross code to AFL has been difficult or impossible for most.

But I am with you. There are literally hundreds of thousands of USA athletes that do not quite make the cut in their USA based sport. The size of that pool should be tapped. There are 320 million USA citizens … and only 25 mill off us. Surely there is an amazing athlete perfect for our game in the USA who can adapt to our game.

I love a Cat B rookie

I know its a hypothetical thread but I wouldnt be throwing the Bowes/7 pick into the haul .

Would be a pretty huge shift for him to come to us ( not saying it wont/cant ), we are a few back in the line
It’s true. Unlikely at this stage, but who knows what happens in the next week.

Eagles have 2 and 26 mate.

LindaCRS, seems to have a finger on the pulse, has gently raised again tonight DGB West.

Add pick 6 heading out.

Personally, I hope there's merit to it all.
So DGB + pick 6 for pick 2 and 26?

No thanks

If we get Bowes & 7
Pick 7 & DGB for pick 2 take it or leave it..
2 / 6 / 16? (Mitchell) / 24
Why Cadman??
Our priority is elite midfielders...
We got Kosi,Ramden, then get Lawrence, & later F/S McCabe & Dear
McCabe and Dear are not draft eligible.

So DGB + pick 6 for pick 2 and 26?

No thanks

Yeah, I hate that.

I don't care what anybody says, DGB and pick 6 (so two pick 6's) is smarter list management than one pick 2.

It doesn't matter how good that pick 2 is projected to be.

How do we get pick 16 and keep pick 24?
