If everything goes right, I can see a future where we walk into the draft with Picks 2, 16 and 26.

Wardlaw, George and Jones.

If you are saying that we should get pick 7 from the Suns, then trade both 6 and 7 for pick 2… I respectfully disagree.

Absolute worst case with 6 and 7 would be something like Mackenzie and Phillipou. Why in the world would we give up both of those for Wardlaw. I believe that two high picks in this draft are much more valuable than one high one. And it seems both North and Eagles agree as they are trying to get back to where we would be.

If on the other hand we could trade 7 and something for pick 2, to have 2 and 6… that is an enticing prospect.

If it came to it, I would prefer to take both pick 6 and 7 to the draft, rather than trade them both for pick 2.

WCE may be interested in making such a trade back however, given there are two or three quality WA talents that are rated around pick 5 to 15 - Hewett, Busslinger and Gibney.

If we were to somehow obtain Collingwood's first pick in a Mitchell trade, and somehow convince Bowes to join, we could package pick 7 and 16 (plus something) for pick 2. WCE may be able to select two of those three with those picks. Having said that, WCE weren't afraid to select a VIC kid last year despite Johnson and Van Rooyen both being available.

We won’t get pick 2. Similar conversations last year about pick 3, and we didn’t even get close

IMO that worked out well for us.

As good as Callaghan will be, given he's kind of a unicorn of a player, I don't think it would have been worth missing out on Ward and one of MacDonald or Butler.

Perhaps but I’ll stick with what I said a month ago. After shopping guys last year be amazed we get anything real for Tom and our only likely trade value will be dgb going west.
You're usually pretty on point when it comes to what's going on within the club- what do you think a deal with DGB would look like were we to receive an offer for him/have we had any conversations with WCE/DGB regarding this?
The ONLY thing I can imagine us doing re: DGB going west would be if we landed Bowes and were able to do DGB + 7 + F2 for 2 + 20

taylor swift suck it GIF
Love the picks hope that works. funnily enough i would pick sheezel hotton and konstanty

With trepidation I ask, what have we given up to get pick 2?

Eagles have 2 and 26 mate.

LindaCRS, seems to have a finger on the pulse, has gently raised again tonight DGB West.

Add pick 6 heading out.

Personally, I hope there's merit to it all.

İf and a big İF at that , we were to grab pick two in the draft, what way would anyone lean?
Cadman - easily best frwd in the draft and has high work rate and will set us up for years to come with him and Mitch as genuine frwd KPF threats!!!
Wardlaw - inside alpha mid we NEED !
Tsatas - inside/outside speedy mid with talent to burn!

İt's so hard to pick that I don't want pick 2! LoL.

If we got pick 7 what would it take to get both north and eagles to give us 1and 2 and take 2 of sheezel wardlaw cadman tsatas? Clear that each would get one of 6 and 7 would another pick in the teens and something later do it? Add Mitchell pick upgrade to 16 then find a way with lions to get their first for cap space mainly and we are getting close. Is there where I show myself out?

As much as I‘d love what Wardlaw could bring if his hammies hold up, I’d prefer we fatten out our talent instead of concentrating it.
