We swap Gunston 24 for the F2 and BL F4

Then Bowes and 7 for F2?
That seems like it’s doing the Lions a favour in helping them without really doing much for us, at best it just gives us an equal 2nd rounder next year.

They can have Gunston for the token pick but if we are going to help them with points for this year I want something better back

Think GC want future picks as well so it gives us an extra F2 so we can cover any father sons after giving 1 to GC

Wonder if the Lions have done the calcs and worked out they are better off going into deficit next year.

Can you match when already in deficit? Like if Ashcroft put them under, are they allowed to just go further into deficit for Fletcher?

I assumed you couldn't but I'm not 100% sure.

decision not far away....

I may be missing something so I apologise if I am, but can’t we just trade the future 2nd to the Suns.

Go to the draft with 6, 7 and 24 (assuming we land Bowes)

And worry about getting points next year? Think that’s a much better way for us to do it unless I’m missing something

What exactly is McKenzie doing? If the Lions were going to do a half hearted swap like that for 15, we could have done it with 24 and our later picks, it would have been better for the Lions and we could have had 15! Is he asleep at the wheel there?

If it was me, I would probably consult with a range of people outside the footy clubs and my manager to determine best fit.
Even if just as a sounding board.

It could be hours or days before we know.

Maybe we have other uses for 24 this year (upgrading Pick 7 maybe ;))
