61% in forward half, 21 more inside 50s.. horrid game of footy but I am super happy with the win. Jags was poor for a lot of the day but won some key contests in the last qtr, was huge for us. Sicily easy bog for mins, Burton was also good and Silk is just Silk.

Huge issues with our style of play though, we are an ugly, middle of the road nothing side in 2018. Some extra class through the middle and a key forward who can mark with some direct footy and we will be better.

There are problems. Efficiency going inside 50 is horrid, and when the opposition tags Mitchell we struggle in the centre.

But our backline lifted after a shaky start and won us the game by repelling so many offensive movements by Port. Sic, Burto, Dimma all played great games. I'd even say Frawley was good apart from one particular doozy.

Massive shoutout to big McEvoy who was immense versus a ruckman that has destroyed us before.

Anyone complaining about our backline needs to clock themselves in the head half a dozen times. A few shockers in the first quarter but massively turned it around from the second quarter onwards.

Frawley brilliant. Burton brilliant. Stratton brilliant. Hardwick brilliant. Sicily brilliant. Doc bloody good.

Forwards continue to struggle with scoring which is going to hurt us if we cant turn it around soon. We are going to meet high scoring teams and wont be able to match them.

Oh, relief! Solid defending. Sicily was enormous yet again. There were some courageous acts by Hawks willing to throw their body in to the contest. Still mucking about with ball movement and forward entries. But, it was nice to see some solid contested marking again. Nice to bank four points and move on. There is still plenty to work on. But, it certainly feels better taking a victory into the bye. It would be a long, dark void without it.

Tob wasn’t all that good, just because we won, people on here will see it otherwise but he along with young H, Poppy, Breust and Impey were quiet.
Shiels, Sicily, Burton and SILK were awesome!!!
