Thinking back to Rossy complaining about limited runner access in the latter stages

And the reports there was lots of dicussion on the bench before dear subbed for Bruest.

Did Bruest carry detailed messages from the coach on with him?

I find Dear a fabulous enigma. Skinnier than a bean pole but somehow able to cause trouble in the forwardmost position. I expect to see the beefy defenders with five or six seasons under their belts bullying Dear into irrelevance, but somehow, he manages to make space for himself and cause space to be made for others. A pleasant mystery.
He looks bottom heavy to me, that is bigger thighs that give him a level of core strength. He won't push a defender away but they find it a bit harder to push him away.

Joe Daniher still shits me from this game, shows how old I’m getting. Couldn’t dislike how he goes about it anymore

He seems to be playing like a frustrated footballer and at times it seemed his intent was just to hurt our boys

I was going to skip the 3rd quarter, but I ended up watching that too. I actually don't think we played too badly, we were creating opportunities but they just weren't quite working out. A bit unlucky at times. We played a lot better than I remember at the time.

You often get a better feel for the game watching it live, that's somehow oddly not there on the replay if you wind up winning imo. I agree we weren't terrible in that quarter, but there were signs that the game was changing as Port were able to win contests and clearances, and move the ball in a way they hadn't been able to regularly prior.

Felt like they dominated it like you did on first viewing (live). But like you with the benefit of knowing we won, it doesn't seem as prominent for sure.

History is written by the victors and all that coming into play I think
