How funny would it be if Harvey lost his all time games record to a Hawthorn player after only 4 seasons?
Harvey's got some games records which Burger will get nowhere near:
Most games played bludging on his team mates.
Most games played looking for the easy goal.
Most games played without a shred of defending.

Some really awful skill errors by us today but I think we will have to expect that from time to time seeing we are playing so many rookies but I am excited about some of the players coming through and I think the injuries to the senior players will pay dividends in that the rookies are getting a lot of consecutive games and seizing their opportunities.

We're still far from perfect - but the commitment, endeavour, skills and knowing where teammates will be and general positioning of players is just leap years ahead of the opening half of the season. It's like a completely different side in comparison.

Our 'crap youth' are another half a season away from all being new examples of 'Wrighty is a genius'.

Sam Mitchell doesn't like this post.

(Sam said he grew up a massive Harvey fan).

I actually liked poppies game last week but has been average most of this year
My favourite moment of the game was when durryea was first to his feet after a contest to snap a goal

I don't think it is a coincidence that our return of form has correlated with a number of underperforming senior players getting injured and being replaced by the "kids".

I read last week Schoey was utter crap, now he is getting applause LOL crazy how much a week can make :)
I thought he was pretty good today also, I still don't know how I feel about him as he has his ups and downs and he has been a the club a long time without cementing a spot but I hope he continues his good form.

Showed a fair bit of toe running for his first goal. Shoe Obrien and Gunston pretty mobile all round

Rough to be on baller and mr fixitme thinks

Went to the game and really enjoyed it, getting great pleasure watching Howe, Burton , Hardwick , Brand, TOB, Scilily continue to grow in stature and improve.

Howe in particular has massive upside, reminds me a lot of Fyfe, big call I know but the kid has something very special I believe. Buckle in everyone we are going to have some fun !!

Super impressed by our youthful backine. Mitch is a gun and we got a steal parting with pick 14 for him. Only negative, Hartung won't be part of our next successful side. Lacks intensity, awareness and is a poor kick and decision maker really. I have backed him in all along but I have now unfortunately had to call it for what it is. Brand is everything I hoped he would become and more. Now we need one of Lovell, O'Rourke and Cousins to become good/great mids and I'm really happy with where we are headed.

Schoey has a lot of positives and a few negatives.
When played foward his positives outway his negatives and he can be a great addition to the team.
When played back he absolutely goes to water, his skills are wasted and he becomes an extreme liability.

For some reason, big guys take a lot longer to come to hand .

KB is a ripper.. always liked him, plenty didn't but he is everything you want in a young key back. At the start of the year I said I preferred him over Chip, with reason heaps of posters had a crack at me, I still feel the same and think it's justifiable.

I'm not sure who, but there was one poster who said Sic has to be our next Josh Gibson, I disagreed but after his last few weeks it's hard to argue.

The defence have gained some real confidence in each other, its great to see. Dimma gave Elliott one of the great touch ups also, kudos to him.

Another pleasing glimpse into the future. That's all we can really look at this season.

The 2020 push is well and truly alive. No Hodge or Burgoyne will be tough in the seasons ahead.

Next week is a huge test for our youth again. The back line will be tested significantly, which will be great to see.

Solid follow up today... keeps our season somewhat relevant. However the powers at the top understand where we are at.

Dimma isn't aware of the size he always gives up - its brilliant. He's a little hardnut.
