Autopsy Hawks v Swans

I never left, but you can make up whatever stories you like if you think it will impress people on your board.

You got a couple of likes so that probably made you feel ok. See you back in the bay, once you've recovered from the loss.

Yeah you did. There was a where are they now Swans thread for a reason. It's ok though. I've left now for the most part too since the end of last season. It's become repetitive and boring. Chef, Nakia, Taz and a few other of our blokes going back and forwards with the same stuff every day. You'll love it.

Funny how you whinge on your board about our autopsy to get 'some likes' but then come here crying foul when you get called out. You've always been a troll. You do your best work in the bay (when you are there). Just don't expect too much respect away from the Bay when you bring the trolling here. You've never been any good at distinguishing between the forums and what's appropriate where.

My point is there is no substitute for grand final experience, it is an asset.
I doubt that they will make the grand final this year, but the finals experience they get this year (all things going well for them) will be invaluable.
In coming years I do believe they will be a juggernaut, that is just my opinion, maybe I am wrong, only time will tell.

I whinged about someone tagging me and asking me to "drop dead", which in the context of your week, is appalling. Never mind, you can defend that sort of talk if you wish.

If you've left the bay then you wouldn't know if I was there or not.

My posting record makes a lie of everything you said, but I don't need approval from you. I just don't like being misrepresented.

You may well be right but I hope its not the case and if they win it this year for me it will be very superficial.

It's hard to know how much impact Rough had on the group. Certainly it had to have some effect. Then you factor in Cyril being away from the club for nearly two weeks with his family illness too and it's not hard to imagine why the group found it hard to play well. They tried to will themselves in to it at times (in Joel Selwood wank speak) but even when the effort became more concerted, the ability to execute just wasn't there. Sometimes you can try as hard as you want, but the mind is so 'off' that you just can't get it right. Friday night felt a lot like that.

Of course the issue going forward is that Rough will still be crook and in a battle, but the team has to try and play without that being a burden. I'm pretty confident that our best is still good enough. And now we know Rough isn't playing this year so we can train for the forward scenarios we know we need to implement going forward, rather than perhaps the makeshift ones we had while awaiting Rough's return.

It won't be easy. It might not even be likely. For the first time in 4 years I'm not supremely confident that when the whips are cracking, we'll be the team to beat. However, if we keep chalking the wins, and hopefully we bank the next 3 at the very least, then this group has such a resolve and ability to deliver at the big moments that I won't ever say we are out of this season until the point that we are actually, well..........out of this season.

You add nothing here. Piss off

I haven't been in the Bay much since the end of last season (2015). Or at least I haven't posted as much for the reasons I said. I still have a look what's going on. I was there right through the 2015 season though when you disappeared after 2014 GF.

Never mind though. Not worth the argument and to be fair I quite like your Bay 13 posting. However, as I said I think you struggle to remember when you're not in the Bay and the trolling likes were the reason you got tagged in this thread as far as I can tell. Now I would never say drop dead to any poster, not even the weird one going bananas on the main board game day thread right now, so I won't condone that at all. But let's not also pretend you were the innocent victim who was unwittingly tagged and dragged in to this thread. You were troll liking which gets you carded in many places (and defo on the Swans board.... Robbie Ando is a trigger finger) and got called on it.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before as I haven't read all the posts, but I believe the 2 minutes of clapping, while being a wonderful gesture to Rough, may have affected our players mentally. It was in the second quarter that the Swans added 5 goals and had us 40-04 nearing half time.

Just a thought. I am not worried by any team I have seen this year, as when finals time arrives, and we move into top gear we are capable of beating anybody.

A lot of Hawks disappeared after the 2012 GF. I started a thread congratulating Hawks before the 2014 GF was over. Was the first Swan there to eat humble pie.

The bay during off season is generally a wasteland, just like boards. It's pointless trying to make something out of nothing.

I was here all off season, simply because a couple of good posters were about, one of them being packedlunch, a hawks fan and a very funny guy. As you know I get on quite well with a number of the Hawks fans there.

When there's nobody interesting about there's nothing to say. Most people disappear during the off season because there's no footy.

I do wonder myself. but there's strong disagreement. however the club predicted that when they asked that it not happen, and lo it did happen.

Nice

TBH I think hawthorn were hard done by in terms of umpiring.
It was shit for both sides. Non paid trips, dropping it, incorrect 50's, wrong goal reviews.

But the better team won ...

We were as flat as I've seen us. No dare. Imagine our boys would be crushed about Rough. Thought Buddy's heroics polarised our guys. Everyone handles things differently.

Why do our posters have to be knobs to visitors?

Our board is better for the banter.

And DB is one of the good posters.

He's a good Bay poster but he's clearly trolling our autopsy thread after a loss. That umpire comment isn't even subtle, lol.

There were indeed shockers both ways. A shocking tripping decision not paid to us, then the same for you guys, and sundry others both ways. The umps were pretty shit, but in tight, scrappy affairs that often happens.

TBH both sides were flat at times.
I'm already looking forward to our next game in Sydney, I'm sure it will be a cracker.
