I actually reckon we paid for having so many lefties in the side tonight, the Cats worked our guys onto the opposite side quite a bit and we were really limited, its only a small thing but it could have been the diff between setting up a goal and turning it over

They went to water. Same has happened in all the big games we have lost over the past 5 or so years. I feel sorry for the boys. They try very hard. 2008 was a godsend because they were too young to understand and nobody expected them to win.

Yep they sweat on it, have done it to us for a while, it was mentioned 3 years ago by cats support staff who was promptly told to shut it, they read us so well.
We started too passively and teams that are evenly matched (and they are) giving momentum and confidence to the opposition tend to mean you will lose. We seemed timid and unsure of ourselves and I wonder who works on their heads leading up to this game. The curse means nothing, history of round 1 means nothing, we entered this top and in the best for since 1961 and yet we started as though we believed we could not win.

Geelong shut us down really well it must be said. Their spread was vastly superior to ours. Instead we just kept punting it into contests which they would immediately neutralise. Surely Clarko has game plan that is better suited to Geelong's style of play than that. Or am I missing something?
He was fuucking monstered by two or three every time it went down, of course it would of really helped if the kicks to him weren't on top of his fuucking HEAD!!!!

Cats didn't play their best yet still never looked like losing, we only played well when they let us. They prob have more upside than we do. Burnt us in every area of the game.

Can take nothing from this game. Cyril should have started could not believe he was sub. If we are constantly going to kick it forward under pressure (from the backline or where ever) ffs play in front. Same old same old. If goo was fit he should have played before whitecross. Whitecross was rusty and out of position. Clarko outsmarted himself. Rioli should have gone to half back and whitecross forward. Many on this board called for it. We had no composure coming out of defence.

They've been doing it forever. They got out to an 8 goal lead in the first quarter last year by blocking space and forcing our blokes on their non preferred.
