Langford's job security is a worry as opposed to McDonald who I think could play most games this season. Also he will most likely tag so be wary if you choose him ahead of McDonald.

Thanks guys, I see Langford is starting in the midddle where as Luke Mcdonald is starting on I/C this scares me off Mcdonald a little bit with North having a pretty experienced team in, Mcdonald looks a chance to be subbed out this game or any future games in my opinion.
Think im just gonna bite the bullet get rid of Mcdonald and cash in on Langford, think he will score decent this week against the lions might even kick a few goals.

Yeah you're right, but if im going leave Mcdonlad on the bench may as well pick Georgiou and save 80k...Tough one!
McDonald has far better Job security than Georgiou...you are focusing too much on price. Also, you want your bench rookies to play and increase in value, even if they are not counting towards your weekly score. One caveat - if you are playing fantasy and just looking to maximise your round 1 score....then just go cheap on the bench to get as much $ on the park as possible for round 1.
Hawks supporters - what should I know about Wanganeen? He scored quite handily in the preseason. What is his gamestyle like? Where will he play? What is his job security like and who is he competing with for a spot?

Wanganeen is a rebounding half-back, quite creative and quick, not too sure on his defensive abilities just yet though.
His JS ain't great. We have many players to come back in and I think he is just filling a spot until they come back. He is competing with the likes of Duryea and Suckling and once Stratton comes back in he will most likely head out I feel.
If he sets it on fire though then anything can happen but I feel he will only be in the side for 1-3 games at the start of this year.

What are your thoughts on Birchall for this season? Has his pre-season been okay or injury-affected?
The reason I ask so late is that I'm contemplating downgrading Hanley to Birchall, so that I can upgrade a 98k ruck to Currie next week in RDT. I was $500 short of affording Currie but if the Goldstein injury is as serious as it first looks, Currie becomes essential to dream team.

He missed a few weeks with his knee issue he got last year. Supposedly he will manage it from now on. Not a disastrous pre-season but not the perfect one. He is a gun though and should be fine and continue on from past years. I reckon he is a pretty solid and safe option for you.

Sewell has never been a good fantasy player! Very inconsistent scores and doesn't get enough cheap possies on the outside. Does all the grunt work which doesn't add a lot to fantasy scores, stay away I reckon!

How is Langford's JS looking after a good showing on the weekend? Guys like Sewell and Stratton to come back would certainly threaten his spot surely. What's his chances of keeping his spot for the medium term?

Langers should stay - not even sub - but be aware if things go well, hawks will rotate significantly
