Hawthorn Grand Final events incl Training & GF day

Anyone else planning on getting up early and making the trip to Glenferrie?

I live on Glenferrie Rd, so will probably just head down there about 9ish from breakfast, and to soak up the day. Then head into the G for a BBQ in the car park about 11am.

Will be at Glenferrie Oval on Sunday, win lose or draw. Can't wait.

Players will be at Crown Palladium. Players, WAGs, Staff and Sponsors only - not a pubic event which isn't the best approach imo especially if we win. Thought it was tradition for the winning team to celebrate with their members.

I am sure they will meet with their supporters if we win before heading off to Crown for their private function. I remember our friends went to Fed Sq last year after the Cats win, the players were presented to their fans and then they left for a private function as well.

Am so hoping we win and celebrate hard all night long !

Can someone help me out with training on thursday. I saw that you can park at waverley gardens and walk or catch a bus from monash uni. But I have to go somewhere right after training, could someone help me as to if you can park in the streets near waverly? The times I have been to training before I have just parked in the carpark at waverly, so I've never checked the surrounding streets as to if you can park there.

You can park there IF you can find a spare spot.

The problem is Waverley Park is high density living so there are narrow roads, little parking. Be prepared to walk a bit.

Have heard that the after match function for the winning team will be held at Punt Road Oval. There will be bands and alcohol available.

I believe that it starts at 12.00 at the Arts Centre.

The parade starts at noon at The Arts Centre and finishes at 1pm at Old Treasury Building. The whole thing is live on Channel 7 and SEN.

Oh, the memories of those fantastic days of celebrating a GF win at Glenferrie oval and the Social Club. For all you young generation Hawks, I hope your future memories start on Saturday.
