Not sure how it helps draw any conclusions about how next week will go.

A week is a long time in footy. Geelong are back to their best tonight and Hawthorn have taken a massive risk by resting several key players which we know can either work (Freo against Hawthorn last year and made the semis) or not go according to plan (Saints against Hawks/Bombers in 2009). Geelong will go in favourites and deservedly so.

Yep a week sure is a long time in footy. Last week people were talking about the possible demise of Geelong.. losing to the B graders Sydney and now they are up by a 100 odd against the Pies.

Game could still go either way.

I think they'll roll the Pies in a bruising, frantic, tight affair.

They'll then be the media focus all week after conquering the Pies twice, being talked up and firmly entrenched in the neutrals hearts as the old boys having one more crack.

Well, I hope all the above happens.

Going according to plan. This is a great result.
