I'm not angry, as a footy fan I'm saddened to see the demise of Hawthorn.
It's like when you see one of your mates with a gambling or drug problem and you try to help them out.
You know what they say, the first step is acknowledging there is a problem.

Demise?

What I was expecting is irrelevant to the fact that you are going to get flattened. Like No chance of winning....

There is only two sides capable of beating Richmond in a final with current player availability and both are in the bottom half of the 8 and even then its a stretch. But please, allow your vicariously obtained pride, fill you with confidence........
Are you taking the baton from Number37, seeing as he's gone awol.

Still higher chance of Hawks beating Tigers than Sydney beating Hawthorn. The Swans are truly our bitches.

The Uber-salty Hawk haters just seem to spring up out of the woodwork. Every time you turn around yet another one has popped up. They breed on here.

I have nothing but the greatest respect for hawthorn as a club and what they have achieved since the early 80’s. It is truly remarkable. But you don’t need to be Einstein to see they are heading for an ambush of significant proportions against rich

Ive read at least 8 times this year that "hawks are shit but we just had an offday" or something of that ilk.

Very proud to support such a lucky side.

Now i never thought we would make top 4, and i really dont expect much in finals. But the finals experience into:
Mitchell
JOM
Sicily
Burton
Hardwick
Morrison
Worpul
Miles
Nash

Will be priceless. The older guys cant stay forever and soon it will be on this group to pass the touch just as Hodge, Mitch, Lewis, Lake, Hale, Gibson, Rioli did to Smith, Stratton, Gunston, Bruest, Mcevoy, Puopolo.

You see if I supported the Swans I’d shut up given we had a home game, a half time lead and were the beneficiaries of a questionable umpiring performance and yet failed to deliver. Your wins are our losses because you can’t get the job done yourselves.

Yep, Richmond are favourites to beat us but let’s see. Whilst you sit on the side telling the world how shit Hawthorn are, they topped you - work
That one out.

Almost no Hawthorn supporter I know is confident about playing the Tiges. We are stoked we have made it this far and want to give it our best shot in a fortnight. So not sure where all this talk of getting ahead of themselves is coming from

If anything our board is choc a block of negative Nancys week in week out. It’s often painful, even after a close loss to a good team ...

But we certainly are enjoying all the posters on here who were adamant that Hawthorn would be bottom four this year. Never seen so many opposition posters baying for blood when we recruited Jaegar and missed the finals last year. Hawthorn posters suggested that

- it takes a while for traded players to gel
- we will be getting injured players back next year and
- our younger players improved in the second half of the year

We suggested that this would bode well for us in 2018. I have heard similar things on this board of late - isn’t that right hawkman ;)

Agreed completely. Hawthorn fans will be wishing they missed the top 4 entirely after the humiliation.

This could get ugly.

Hmmm..... would a club rather finish 12th as everyone predicted or manage to defy expectations and finish top 4, even if it resulted in the best team giving them a touch up and possibly straight setting?? Hmmmm.

Hawks have already won as far as our supporters go this season. Any further wins beyond here will just be a beautiful bonus.

I'm not confident but I am far form apprehensive about it. The Tigers rightly go in as favourites but make no mistake, Hawthorn is well in this game.

I am not buying much of the bashfulness going around either. Hawthorn has proven itself a genuine top four team. They are quite capable of inflicting serious damage to any side in the finals.
