I don't think people are calling for Scrimshaws head, they perhaps just want more from him.

Put him in a side that had our previous champions around him, and he could be as good as Birchall (or Similar). Perhaps we will never know depending on how others develop around him.

Supporters are probably just wanting another elite player that can win games off their own back. Apart from maybe Sicily we don't really have that yet so we are just craving for more to reach that mantle. We all hope Scrimshaw could perhaps be that type but it may be others around him that become those elite players and the role that he plays will look better because of that.

A match sim is where Dangerfield feigns an injury and starts limping badly, heads down to FF, does his best Jimmy Bartel impressions to be given frees 10m out. This is repeated on a loop for 50 minutes.

I’ll be happy for them to broadcast the full game. From memory they cut one of our pre season games off half way through the third quarter with no explanation.

I always thought it was the first two quarters are each teams best 22. Then two quarters with best/possibles, then two quarters with best/more possibles, and last two quarters with your 'worst 22'. So most players will get 4 quarters in total.

8x30 minutes PLUS time-on?

In 32 degree heat?

Surely it is normal match periods of 20 minutes plus time-on, with every player on the list getting game time equivalent to a normal game over the 8 quarters. Even slightly less than 20 plus time-on wouldn't surprise me, with the heat in mind.

Yeah that I'm not too sure. Being 8 'quarters' I'd say it will be a lot of VFL boys in there too. I'd think we would probably work out with Geelong to go similar v similar though

For some reason I though it was only 6.

Love how the AFL have turned preseason matches into a total farce.

Looking forward to Worpel and Stephens swapping jumpers with Smith and Ceglar for the 5th and 6th period - “welcome back boys!”

Whilst this will be more important than the intraclub for Rd 1 purposes, let’s just hope everyone gets through and we have close to a full list to pick from for the Pies PM.
