Freo for me. Not sure where the smashing talk is coming from, apart from resting half a team against saints when didn't they get smashed last? If Freo bring tonight's intensity we will all be smiling next Saturday night after watching an epic.

Agreed. As an Adelaide fan I was hoping Port would lose by 120 points and break their record. In fairness the Power crew would have been wishing for the same last year when Crows playing.

Usually Grand Finals are like elections, I wish both sides could lose, but I like both Freo and the Hawks.

To answer your question, the Hawks gave them a flogging early in the year, and that was coming off a really tough start to the season for us. Freo are a different team now though, but so are Hawthorn.
Should be a great contest.

Your forgetting the classic Aussie trait to barrack for the underdog and that old Tall Poppy Syndrome extends to WA as well. Hawks, have had their time to shine. I'll be cheering on the Dockers
Freo. Couldn't give 2 shits about the Hawks. Freo getting up would make some members of my family bloody happy so im hoping they get up for their sake.

I have no quarrel whatsoever with the Hawks picking up another cup and if they win, good on 'em, they deserve it. They're (Hawks) a great side, but my old man supports the Dockers (I should have legally emancipated myself when I was young enough..), so UP THE PURPLE HAZE!

I'd imagine most neutrals would be cheering on the Dockers, if for no other reason than the fact they've never won one and it's in our nature to support 'the underdog'.
Personally I share the view of a lot of people regarding not wanting Lyon, regardless of who he's coaching, to win a flag with his negative gamestyle, but at least the Dockers are seemingly scoring more than the Saints used to. I'm interested to see how Saints fans feel about the possibility of Lyon winning a flag with the Dockers given how close he came with their own team - completely against it? Or good luck to him?
While I reckon our chances were a lot better against the Swans (beaten them 3 times already this year, the latest only being a couple of games ago (what's to prove?), wouldn't want to lose to the same team twice in successive GF's / revenge factor), I'm pleased we're seeing a 'new' match up. The two teams haven't met since round 4, it should be a ripper.
