Does anyone know if it is possible to get a copy of this on Region 4 DVD? The Hitman has always been one of my favourites and I would really love to get a copy of this if anyone knows where from and how.

Cheers

Speaking of Bret Hart..i just aquired his new Dvd.
Its pretty good , but i think theres still a bit of animosity between him and Flair.
He said about Flair that he was one of the best conditioned athletes in the business , but that was that.
Out of all the extra matches on there , i thought there wouldve been the Hart vs Flair match in Canada where Bret won his first world title , But i suppose he is just getting Flair back for what he said in his book....???

I have seen Wrestling with shadows on SBS.
No it was definitely not work.Bret actually punched out Vince Macmahon backstage after the screwjob

Yeah - and the aftermath was conveniently captured by the Wrestling with Shadows film crew, which just shows a groggy Vince being taken down a hallway on the arm of some officials. Not to mention the fact that the documentary details Bret having a pay-related affliction nearly a year prior to his decision to leave and the events of Montreal. It is almost like a climax in a sense, with the documentary unfolding as a story that ends at the point of Montreal. Call me cynical, but I think the documentary wouldn't be half of what it is without the screwjob at the end.

At the end of the day, it is most likely that, with the nature of circumstance and the amount of footage captured for the documentary, that when the screwjob occurred the makers of the film could gear WWS in the direction that it takes. However, at times I think this is one element that is often overlooked. The incentives for Bret were laid out on the table, headed by a massive Time Warner contract. Whether or not Vince himself benefited from the production of the documentary, or whether or not he just rewarded Bret's loyalty to the WWF - after all, he was the guy who carried the company through the steroid scandal as their righteous champion, is it that hard to believe that the whole thing was a work?

I don't necessarily believe that this was the case, and with the sustained disdain and the anger Bret continues to harbour toward the company (although, this could also have to do with the situation involving brother), I would suggest that the incident was indeed as volatile and as genuine as all accounts would have us believe, in terms of the tension, the unrest and the resentment. At the same time though, it is surprising to think that more people aren't 'asking the question' pertaining to the validity of the situation. After all, it does all seem quite convenient.
