They should play it at the MCG if its a Showdown for the Prelim. It would be huge.

I'd much rather play port then West Coast. So therefore I might for once in my life go for Port this weekend.

Lets cross that bridge when we come to it thanks very much:thumbsu:

Well this week is a given for you guys i would think. In fact when i go to Telstra dome on saturday I would love to see nothing more then an Adelaide win which is more possible by the minute. Then for when you do win a meeting vs the kangaroos next weekend which will be a hard game however a possible one.

Nothing in the modern game is a given, if the AFC players are complacent and do not show the Hawthorn player respect by bring there A game on Saturday we will get blown out of the water.

Doesn’t anyone remember the 2001 first finals debacle at the MCG against Carton – we beat them both times during the season (and only 5 or 6 weeks before smashed them at AAMI) and got rolled because no one would man up on Jimmy Plunkett (got like 40 touches)

Finals are tough games to win and everyone needs to show a gutsy effort; the best team doesn’t always win just look at the last 2 winter we have had.

Am hopfully catching up with an Essendon mate on Friday night in melbourne to watch the game and will be quite funny in that he hates port with an absolute passion! I'm not fussed either way, don't really like either team and sure as bikkies won't be 'barracking' for either side. Will be on tenterhooks waiting for the bouncedown on Saturday instead.

Nothing is a given, Finals footy is a different kettle of fish.

I bet the Port people would be shitting themselves over a Prelim against us.....

We all know that Port Adelaide have Earned the right to host a home final. In saying that it wont mean much if Adelaide play them ;) would make things more interesting thats for sure. Say you do win this weekend then you play the loser of Geelong vs the Kangaroos most likely the Kangaroos.

Kangaroos vs Adelaide MCG thoughts on that if you get over the line this week.
or
Geelong vs Adelaide grr lol

V Kangas we would be a good chance to win. Not so confident about a game agaisnt Geelong....

On our day the Crows could beat anyone. Over the past three years with this current crop of players we have consistantly beaten every team, except WCE...Hence Port winning this Friday night and putting WCE out of our side of finals will be good. With luck Sydney will beat Pies this weekend, then beat WCE the following week at Subi....:p

The current from we are in at the minute is the best all year. Better lead up to the last two years when we limped to the finals and finished in top two by virtue of the first 15 rounds being so domiant.

Thats a myth, we didnt limp into the finals at all in 2005.

We actually won the last 10 games of the year, including a round 22 win over the second placed West Coast Eagles at Subiaco. Hardly limping.

WCE let us win.....

True we won those games, but we were so good we breezed past those games. A lot of those games we were not challanged, it was jsut a process. Thus in finals we were not switched on. ANd could find the "switch" when needed.

I like the fact the boys have had to work hard to get there. Against Brisbane the pressure at the man was there and our boys looked like the were on a mission. Hadnt seen that all year...

Dont subscribe to the 'West Coast let us win' theory. I dont think any team would throw a game for the minor premiership so close to the finals.

Whether we were switched on or not is another debate... you certainly cant say we limped in. We had the most momentum we've ever had. Id argue it was a certain suspension, more than a lack of awareness which hurt us the most.

At work today I overheard this guy on the phone saying that he was a Port man and they're doing so well he thinks they're a big change for the premiership etc.. but then he went on to say "I just hope we don't have to play the Crows in the finals because they seem to beat us every time." :thumbsu:
