Toast How can this Melbourne side be stopped?

Ordinary football side. I called it a few weeks ago and got shot down for it. One of the worst premiership sides of all time. Gawn, Oliver, Petracca and May then a bunch of seriously average players.
Martin, Cotchin, Riewoldt and Lynch could also be written here to be fair

Need to add in Clarko who missed 5 games. Cyril only made it back for the Grand Final.

Hawthorn’s 2014 injury list reads like a roll call of war casualties.

Sam Mitchell (hamstring), Josh Gibson (pectoral), Brian Lake (calf/suspension), Brad Sewell (hamstring), Ben Stratton (adductor/hamstring/hip), Luke Hodge (knee), Liam Shiels (shoulder), Jack Gunston (knee), Matt Spangher (ankle) and Billy Hartung (elbow) have all missed multiple matches, but are fit again now.

Matt Suckling (ankle) could return to meet the Cats after missing Round 23, Cyril Rioli is at least another week away from resuming from his hamstring injury while Brendan Whitecross (knee) and Jed Anderson (shoulder) have been ruled out for the season.
Half those injured players are just very average role players plus Sewell who was cooked.
Yes Hodge and Gunston missed 2 and 3 games, most players do. Mitchell, Gibson and Lake missed during that period I was talking about where you played all the poor sides.
You got them all back when you needed them.

As that article states, the other sides also only had 4,6 and 8 players play every game.
It looked bad because a lot missed at the same time but you were fortunate that it coincided with an easy run of games and not during finals.

Need to skip training for a punt and some drinks with Goody to get them firing again.

Needing some of that Goody "good stuff" more like it.

And to think, there are 500 pages of theories on how to beat them and the simplest has been shown to be the most effective...tackle the sh1t out of them. Their ball movement into the forward line is terrible (hasn't been good all year). And pressure applied throughout an entire game has them playing as a bottom 8 team. Some of the team would have been embarrassed with their efforts today.

How many teams have won the flag or made the g/f after losing 3 in a row at some stage in h/a season? Someone out there may know.
Well we Dogs supporters don’t have to look too far back for a side that made the GF after losing three in a row!

Richmond lost four in a row (three by under a kick) in 2017. It happens. The bigger worry is that they’re struggling against top eight sides and they’re heading into the tough part of their draw.

Besides Rance, none of those players belong in the conversation compared to Martin, Gawn, Petracca etc. type talents.
Only thing Gawn and Petracca have achieved is one flaky COVID premiership… you don’t fluke 3 brojo, and that’s what all those Tiger players listed have.
I realise that’s foreign to you being a Collingwood supporter though..
