If you plot that as a ratio against number of members, Melbourne would be right up the top.

It’s because Melbourne’s the premier and apparently everyone should flock to watch them.
The membership figures are so far out of touch with reality these days, they are almost worthless. It's like comparing apples with dishwashers.

Some teammate May seems to come across as here😮
I'd imagine they were both pretty pissed and banter was going on between them, maybe a bit of back and forth all night and there was something that pushed it a bit far for one of them, then it escalates. Alcohol has a knack of exacerbating things that might otherwise be laughed off or have some stern words then it's over.
So apparently he was saying similar things to a few players, not just Melksham, then Melksham had just had enough and stood up for his teammates.
May might be a better player, but sounds like Melksham is the much better bloke and teammate.

Could miss the Top 4 if they don't turn their season around.

Still to play Lions x2, Cats, Fremantle & Carlton.

Thread question has been solved. Steven May is the answer.

Weren't they going to challenge us for our consecutive games won record? What's happening with that?
They got confused, going for consecutive losses record instead.
