BOLLENHAGEN #62

Did okay on debut. Kicked a goal as a result of a chase down in the forward 50. Laid 3 ripper tackles and had 10 kicks with 4 inside 50’s, disposed well when he actually got the ball. Ran to the right spots but wasn’t used on occasions. Looked quick.
CLARKE #22

Kicked the first goal of the game. Had another shot on goal 10 metres out and missed. 27 hitouts, 4 kicks and 10 handballs with 6 tackles. Looked like what an AFL backup ruckman should look like. Did well when Graham came off through injury.
CRICHTON #24

Only the 6 disposals. Had a tough game against a much better side. Usually known for his defensive style of game play only had the 1 tackle recorded. Kept Ian Richardson to just 2 goals. Arguably the best outcome from his game. Injury to his nose as some reports claims it to be bigger than his head.
DODD #54

13 possessions with 3 kicks, 10 handballs. Didn’t get a touch after half time, maybe proving why he is playing WAFL at the moment. Having said that he defensively played ok and is coming back from major shoulder and wrist surgery.
FYFE #13

15 disposals kicking 4 goals 2. Strong in the air with a large 12 marks and 4 inside 50’s. Showing the selectors just what he can do. Very good performance helped by a very good team steam rolling Thunder.
HALL #4 (RESERVES)

11 disposals in half a game of football. Palmer came off and Hall came on. 4 inside 50’s for the small midfielder as his team lost by 2 points.
HOUGHTON #48 (RESERVES)

As suspected needs a lot of filling out to do if we wants to become a key position forward. Looked pretty agile for his size. Had 7 disposals for 2 goals. 2 marks and 2 tackles rounded out his game.
MURPHY #15

A cut above the rest. Booted 5 goals 1 with 11 disposals, 8 marks and 3 tackles to top it off. Showed some real character after being told to play round 1 with South Fremantle. Put his hand up for selection.
PALMER #63 (RESERVES)

First game back since his knee injury on Anzac weekend last year. Had 4 disposals and 3 tackles as he played half a game. Looked a little rusty but can't expect too much since he has been out for quite some time. Wasn't the best come back game of all time being dual tagged by Perth for the duration of his match.

ROBERTON #39

Total of 14 possesions. Looked a little lost in the first half. Was getting his hands on it in the final quarter but perhaps too little too late for East Perth
SCHAMMER #26

30 possessions, 15 handballs and 15 kicks. An elite ball winner in an elite midfield down at the Tigers. With him, Browne and Foster totalling 87 touches between them.
SHEPHEARD #25

A good 5 touches for 2 goals. Looked lively up forward just couldn’t get his hands on it enough. Had his fingers covered in butter most of the night but kept on leading and presenting. Showed some good signs and almost took a couple of big grabs.
SIBOSADO #43 (RESERVES)

Only had 4 touches for the duration of the game. Kicked 1 point, 3 marks and 2 tackles in their win over Peel Thunder.

VAN BERLO #18

Only the 7 touches. Reasonably quiet compared to his NAB Cup and Challenge games where he dominated defensively. A real team player.
WALTERS #9

18 disposals. Proved just how good of a kick he has on him. Kicked a goal and had 4 tackles for the game. Can play anywhere from up forward to in the middle or even as a small defender. Reasonably quick for his size and needs to string a few games together before Fremantle even start to notice him.

Indeed. Fyfe is obviously the standout of the newbs but I have to say I like the cut of Bpllenhagen's jibe (thanks Mr Burns).
I was watching him through the binocs out at Eftel and he was constantly roughing up anyone near him at stoppages. Good size, good skills, great kick, aggressive, what's not to like? Happy to see him get a Gig in the seniors sooner rather than later.

Yes Fyfe did play well from what i have heard. And i was at the Perth V East Freo game and Bollenhagen did look to be impressive. It was a surprising rough game considering the size of the game and it was good to see Bollenhagen throwing himself around amid other people criticizing him about his aggressiveness. Although he does need to work on his fitness if he wants to go further and play a full game of football on bigger fields than what he is used to
