It had nothing to do with our Ruckmen against Cox.... It was the fact that our rovers fed of Cox a lot better than they did with Ottens.
We have not had a good ruckmen in our side since big Monkey left and we have adapted to feeding off the opposition's ruckmen... unfortunately we didn't succeed as well as we would have liked against the Cats.
Ottens had a great game yes, but he had quality midfielders feeding of him which is what killed us.

Why is there even a comparison being made with Cox ?...he needs to make the top 5 ruck list first.
Having a good game against a poor ruck division just means he's better than THEM.
ottens wasnt even close to AA selection...Everitt did well against some crappy ruck divisions this yr but i;m not about to say he had a good season or try to rate him highly.

Geelong are a bloody great side but I think even the most die hard Cat supporter would know that trying rating Ottens over Cox would make them look like a ******ed fool
Ah, no. I think for a man his size, Otto's second and third efforts are extraordinary. You don't see many ruckman doing the rover's job and getting down on their hands and knees and shovelling it out to the smaller brigade. You make it sound like there's a chasm between the two.

Cox is better but I reckon Ottens will serve it up to the number two in Lade. It will be interesting to see how Kingy goes against Coburg today. Could be a nervous time for young Blake.

Why? imo Ottens at his best is better then Cox at his best, it's just Ottens doesn't play his best very often while Cox does it consistently which is why overall Cox is the better player.
Then your opinion is, sadly, wrong.
Dean Cox is absolutely brilliant. Ottens is not in his league, except maybe for one freak game every now and then, and even then, it's at about the standard that Cox gives every week.
After this year Ottens would be way up that list.
Easily determined, just compare otten's best game with cox's best game.
No myth, cox is the most athletic and the best so yer.

Ottens best is very good, but look at the quality of the Pies ruckman.
Cox is still by far and away the best ruckman going round.

Cox played all year with bad groin and foot problems. He was about 70% fit all year and it affected his spring. To put it simply he couldnt jump
