He doesn't have a lot of players that draw votes away from him, a lot depends on if Hawks win more game in the future because of other players stepping up or if they win games because of him.

who cares......?

i mean really...........there are many great players that have never won it so to try & attempt to predict the number of years before he wins one is just total stupidity.

Hodge seems to be one of those players that can poll well even in losing matches, that must help him. I think he might get one sooner rather than later, guys like Franklin and Roughhead will be stealing votes from him in a few years time.

Spider, Mitchell, Crawford were all vote stealers from him. I dunno what your talking about!

disappointing that a player who spends half his time sweeping up off half back gets recognition. Very overrated player.

yep, 15 votes in a crap team, will win his b and f by a country mile, next captain of the club and future brownlow medallist. just gets by, doesnt he!!!!
i see your from south australia. crows or port.
it is just that hodge plays that same role as mcleod, the one that he gets all his recognition from, and oh yeah, does it better too!!!!

Gun and as absolutely robbed of 3 votes against Essendon round 20.. His best game all year and didnt poll

Yeah, but he got gifted 3 against the Dogs when West was miles ahead of anyone else. Having said that, the decision not to give him a vote in Round 20 was mystefying to say the least - best game he played all year!

But of course he is a soft receiver who can't win clearances...

Hodge will win the Brownlow and i think it will be sooner rather than later. 15 votes in a losing side was awesome. the future will be bright as Hawthorn start to win games and vote stealers like crawford and Everitt retire. I can't see many votes being taken off him by Franklin/Roughhead as KPP's don't often poll well compared to midfileders.

If the Hawks move up the ladder in the next 3 or 4 years, he would have a good chance of winning it. I agree that Mitchell, Crawford and Everitt are all very good players, and he has to contend with them, plus with the team not winning many games it doesn't give him much of a chance to poll many three voters. He should win it before long.

i agree that macca is next to useless these days hes a $400,000 back pocket. Thats due to chronic knee injuries. You forget what he did in his prime however, he was a midfield gun. I am simply saying for a guy that sweeps off half back hodge got way too many votes. Unless he can start doing it for 90% in the middle then he will always be overrated. In terms of judd or hodge or ball, i think we all know that judd is the one to of got, but that happens in drafts all the time doesnt it. You still picked up a very handy player, there should be no need to try and justify any of the three.
