How long till Fev self destructs?

Its easy to be good in the off-season (then again ask the Saints and Blues..?) anyways it will be interesting to see how long it will take for Fev to self destruct up at the GABBA. The media scrutiny may be less but thats not to say they wont be keeping an eye on him.

I think before the half way mark of the season I expect the self destruction button to be engaged and off to the GC or WS he will go.....

I agree with TheGeneral, Fev obviously knows that he's on a thin, red line at the lions and the leadership group headed by the the best captain, Jonathan Brown will set him straight.

Voss won't have many sleepless nights.

At a club with a better culture and leadership/guidance that includes Voss, Brown and co I think the chances of him self-destructing again are very small. We will see though.

All I've seen in the papers is how they're still trying to bring him down by subtle links to articles which how could we say aren't in Carlton's favor.

It will depend on his attitude and his drinking habits.

carlton said after the trade that whilst the brownlow was the deciding factor in the trade, Fev's attitude had worsened throughout the year to the point that he was disrupting team unity and causing a rift in the playing group. i doubt vossy will be too pleased if thats the case and the extra pressure from the coach and playing group could see him snap and hit the piss again.

anyway i hope he can complete his career free of controversy. His amazing skills have already been somewhat tarnished by his misdemeanours; and it would be terrible for a great career to be overshadowed completely by his off field habits.

Re Henderson, you guys don't get it, do you?

The reason we let Henderson go was that we still didn't see him as frontline forward or backman even in his third year. Even Cornelius was preferred to him as a forward at one stage when Bradshaw was out. And yet Carlton supporters somehow see him as their forward line saviour and a readymade replacement for Fev.

I wish Hendo the best of luck, even at Carlton, but the odds of him kicking more than more than 30 goals this year should be as long as Carlton's flag price.

And Clark will go forward if Fev or Browny breaks down.

fev should have absolutely no problem with his drinking, now that he is no longer at carlton and away from the influence of known drinkers betts houlihan , walker etc.
fev will have the chance to prove how disiplined he is & will be an even better team player.
brisbane have a captain the can demand respect because he has earned it, not just been given it to convince him to come,
brisbane also have very good & proffesional administration who run the club like a buisness & not a boys club where people are given positions according to sponsors demands.
but in saying all this where you will find the biggest diffrence in fev in on the football field where because the person who actually controls the players will have a decent game plan & wont just look like a stunned ratt without a clue.

fev will be a better player at brisbane but may not kick as many goals because brisbane actually have many foward options unlike fevs previous club.
