So while waiting for the 2025 draw to be published, the draft to conclude and any another horse trading in between. How many wins are realistic in 2025 for our list? Some factors to consider
  • Assume we get 2x games with Tigs, Wet Toast, Crows, GoDees, Suns and Saints.
  • We should have put both the Pies and Dockers away after coughing up massive leads, and showing supporters another way to shit the bed. Parker, Daniel and Darling should help address this.
  • The draw last year was brutal in the first few rounds - thanks AFL for not giving us a leg up!!! If they try this crap again, then Clarko drops a turd 💩 on Dillon’s carpet at the annual coaches dinner.
  • Improvement in all the U24 crew over the Summer. Bigger/Stronger/Faster.
  • We pick the 2nd best player in Australia in the draft.
  • New Captaincy and Leadership group changes. Or Clarko and Viney’s carpet cops the same treatment from NM members 😎

Although 2024 was another horrible year, we did see a few players improve sharply and I am hoping we see similar in 2025.

2024 saw Xerri, LDU, Archer, Curtis and to a lesser extent Comben and Powell all improved sharply and you would hope we will see something similar in 2025.

We need some of the group of Wardlaw, McKercher, Dursmaa, Bergman, Hardeman, Goater, Payne etc. to make a large jump in their form and consistency if they are able to we should have the bones of a decent side moving forward.

8 wins or get in the ****en bin.

Sheez will be even better with more support
Logue plays most of the season back half we improve
Daniel is an upgrade on fisher
Goater back and Lmac out will be huge
Powell , wardlaw , Kerch with another preseason under their belt will make them go harder for longer
Forward line is where we should see the most growth - darling supposedly going waterman and Allen to 40+ goals - larks should bring up the ton then.
PC is improving year on year
BGZ gets his fitness up and it’ll be on like donkey king
Parker will weed out the weed and the timid
Just need one of those small forwards to go all LT/cyril
Ok **** it - we’re making finals

Probably 7. I'd be furious with anything less, mildly unhappy with 7, and content with 8 or more.

Can't think of any excuses why we should win less than that. Don't know how to win, ****ing learn

We should be aiming for at least 7 provided that none of our top 10 players suffer serious injuries. The experience we've brought in + the growth of the kids should result in less implosions. If we have another year like 2024 then the whole place needs to be under a microscope to find out wtf is going on.

I did not see Xerri's ascension coming at all, really hoping that someone else leaps out of nowhere next year. Archer made fantastic strides from a somewhat unassuming base too. Other than that, some linear progression from our kids should be expected... Parker, Daniel and Darling buffing up each line, Colby and Sheezel running amok, a fully fit Logue down back; there's no excuse for not improving.
