I remember listening to him on AA in the early to mid 1990's.
He had some very interesting turn of phrase's.

Bicks says Jenkins has signed and Paul Connors is away for 2 weeks, so will be announced upon his return
Richmond are going to boycott triple M this weekend over that (McGuire vs Wilson) incident
He was behind me in the coffee line today and said he didn't have training today.
Gospel
Na coffee by the beans on Henley beach road.Cibo north Adelaide? Seen him there before
Jj has signed. He told me.
And no one will care

When a player agrees to a contract it still needs to be signed by all parties, then it needs to be sent to the AFL to get the tick of approval that it's all above board before it can be announced publicly.
You don't seriously think Connors has to sign the contract do you? He is not a party to anything
Doesn't read like like that. All parties as in the club and Jenkins.
But but but, Joe the Goose! Anybody can stand in the goal square and get on the end of handballs!
... There are bigger issues at play here too. Firstly, Adelaide has an image problem and is largely considered a shit-hole by the rest of the country. Secondly, the club still insists on drafting kids from interstate though they have recently changed their stance on this a bit. These are both way bigger issues than how much of a nice guy Pyke ends up being.
Just on your post JohnK I would put Eddie in The SA/WA camp. Originally from Kalgoorlie ( which is why there was a strong presence at Subiaco). He lived in Port Lincoln as well. Then headed for Victoria . Guess just like the footballer he is hard to classify
Welcome back jk!Josh Jenkins is not Joe the Goose. Yes, he's kicked many of his goals from the goal square and, thus, appears to be the happy ending of the team play. But, on most occasions, Josh works extremely hard to get into that position. He's deceptively fast for a big man; reads the play well and works very very hard. Look at the tapes.
This not an argument to say that he should be paid megabucks. Nobody should be. The team should fly as one and share the spoils for team effort in an fair and equal fashion. Over the last decade, Hawthorn superstars took pay cuts in order for that team to stay together in a winning combination. And they rewarded themselves with grand finals.
Adelaide is on the edge of something at the moment that could deliver all the rewards the game contains. Josh realises that. He isn't dumb, or greedy, and nor is he confused by short-term goals. He's perfectly entitled to spend as much time as he needs to work out his future.
Absolutely so Paul Connors whereabouts is irrelevant
Why would a player manager all of a sudden step out of the most important and legally binding part of the process? They're still there to make sure JJ doesn't accidentally sign his life away.
he's the agent, not a lawyer
exactly, of course he will be there. not in any of the pictures and stuff but will be in the roomWhy would a player manager all of a sudden step out of the most important and legally binding part of the process? They're still there to make sure JJ doesn't accidentally sign his life away.
