230+ days in lockdown, don't forget when we were out of lockdown we still had the 5km travel radius and other restrictions in place so we couldn't go anywhere besides the shops, home and work. Basically been almost 12 full months of full house arrest, and people wonder why the numbers are going up, they've done it the government's way, and it hasn't worked, and the government is steadfast on these curfews and lockdowns, of course people are going to just go about their lives.

I just don’t get what Brett Sutton’s plan is.

Cases keep rising in the west, north and in construction because of non-compliance. These are facts reported by himself.

But there are little or no targeted measures implemented in those areas. Instead the measures target the whole state which mostly geographically does not have the virus or they have shown a much lower propensity to transmit. People who don’t have the virus can’t transmit the virus i.e. expending resources in testing, vaccinating and policing compliance in areas without the virus.

I don’t think he should wait until there are thousands of cases a day in the north and west before implementing targeted measures.

Seems like a logical next step to me.

That's assuming Sutton doesn't want to and isn't being stopped by a premier playing politics.

He's made comments before that not all the health orders or advice are consistent with the restrictions that are imposed, but he can only recommend to Dan who implements whatever he likes.

Curfews and outdoor mask wearing being prime examples.

I’ve never taken that from anything Ned has posted.

He’d like a more conservative approach to how Covid is managed than I would and I don’t always agree with him but he’s a decent guy.

My view is that it is nearly time vaccinated people are allowed to live their lives without restriction. He doesn’t see it that way. That’s ok.

He has posted that the increase in cases is “what you wanted” or “what the people wanted” multiple times.

He has posted that “let it rip”
is what the state wanted.

He has said the police chose to not enforce the rules.

Ned Flanders is just deflecting blame to anyone but Andrews and Sutton who have given up.

Mate, he’s called for Andrews head several times.

He’s frustrated, like the rest of us. I’m guilty of being a first rate bastard on here recently (always according to some). We all want the same outcome but think there are different ways to get there.

Politics aside, the only people who we should be pissed off with are the deliberately unvaccinated. They are holding the country back. But I am giving a pass to those not wearing masks, not checking in, etc. Mentally, people are done.

I've said multiple times the govt have given up, which is why we have a mockdown now.

Doesn't change the fact you kiss Dans ass from afar without having to actually live with 7 lockdowns…

But it also shows just how parochial some of you are that a persons support of a politician is what dictates how ‘Victorian’ they are 🙄🙄
