The real fashy is the one in charge of this locked down police state… how sad that he’s turned the people against the working class to distract from his own repeated failings… wish we could trade Dan for Trump!
Think the public has formed its own opinion of the ahem Freedom Fighters

They'll end... for us vaccinated! Those who don't have the blessed Mygov vaccine certificate will be socially banished to a land of wind and ghosts - the only return from which is through two quick jabs to the upper arm.

Then we can all go to the pub again:)

Will patrons be permitted to remove facemasks while enjoying a cold one?

It's high risk to drink water or alcohol at a playground; is it less risk to drink alcohol while inside a pub?

These jokers outside the Shrine
I'd like to think they have no idea of the significance because the alternative is they chose this site as they believe their "sacrifice " has equivalence to those who served.

F me
Yeah I wasn't happy with them "protesting" against what are essentially worker safety measures on the West Gate Bridge site of nations biggest industrial accident.

But to protest at the Shrine of Remembrance tops that in disgraceful actions. It doesn't take a lot of brains to know that The Shrine is a No Go Zone for such activity.

Thinking of what was happening yesterday I think that these dickheads tried to move the crowd there yesterday but the real construction workers didn't follow them down St Kilda Rd. (at one point there was a split in the crowd with some trying to go down St Kilda Rd and the others turning onto Flinders St).

Looks like TV networks won’t be able to livestream using aerial footage.

They probably will now just have some random spotters throughout the city dressed like a normal person (if that is possible for them)

Worst performance by an Australian premier by a long way so far. Imagine if he lost an election with the biggest ever swing as well. 😳

Except it wouldn't even take one of the top 15 biggest swings in Australian politics to unseat him...

The biggest swing in Australian politics would probably have the Labor Party with less seats than the Libs do now...

I can understand why they don’t want the live aerial footage shown. From what I saw today you could see where the police were stationed...

knife has there been any updates on the genomic sequencing?

Unfortunately not for Victoria, but they are still sequencing. From what I understand, there is another service they are putting results on called Austrakka, however there is no public access to it. Sounds like it contains more details that could potentially identify patients and is reserved for National public health teams and academics.

But they have 2907 samples from Victoria of the Delta variant, up until September 20th.

There was an article in The Age a few weeks back with a genomics expert from the Doherty institute saying those Victorian samples suggest a high likelihood that there was at least a third incursion from NSW, which went undetected until it had spread in Victoria. It'd be interesting to see if the current cases predominantly stem from the Craigieburn Coles family and removalists, or the potential 3rd incursion.

Latest Australia and Oceania sampling

Regarding variants, Delta is dominant in all continents, making up 93% of all sampled cases globally.

The only place where Lambda, Gamma and Mu have had any real significance is South America, and as a proportion of cases, they've been in decline for more than 2 months. Outside of South America they barely register, with Mu and Lambda registering less than 1% of cases Worldwide and Gamma around 4%

You would probably get really good odds on this at sportsbet.

You should go all in.

Still amused that the inner city progressives have just learned that (particularly unionised) construction workers don't look like this

Although they'd likely still confuse him for a protester given how clean his shirt is.

The likely liberal voting nice men that built your deck, are very different to the likely labor voting unionised labourer building the sky scraper in town.

How do we all rate media coverage of the recent protests?
Been ok. It is a fine line between keeping thr community aware of what is happening and giving them too much attention.
Rolling coverage should be reducing each day they protest
