If you want to lock up people as regularly as you suggest in here mate, where dou you think theyll be actually locked up. Prisons are full
Prisons are fine. But you can prevent people committing crimes if you have decent facilities in place. This was the criticism of this at the time.
Federal elections and state elections are very different.

Admirable if you're going to keep this up for the next seven years. Probably eleven.
It’s great that you keep going on about future results that apparently you think are a foregone conclusion. It does nothing to reinforce your point and makes you look rather void of decent points to make.

Both parties claim to be “progressive” - this not a term owned by the left. Turnbull used this during his term.
Morrison’s tax cuts could be considered ‘progressive.’

Claiming a flat tax that punishes the poor and benefits the rich as "progressive" is the most ****ing ridiculous thing I've ever heard. It was stupid when Morrison and Fraudenberg claimed it, and it's stupid when you repeat it.

Do you HONESTLY think the Libs are any chance in 2022?

Like, not hope, or wish?

If I were a Lib strategist my aim for 2022 would be getting back three seats, like Hawthorn. Burwood.

How were these ever lost?

Have you looked at both systems any more than superficially ?

Now we only recently saw the unlosable after the close of polling (according to the ABC up to what 9pm) .

I think Dans a shoe-in next time, whilst we see road & rail infrastructure happening politics will take a back seat. Dans politics are the only thing that can bring down the Andrews Govt in 2022.

Realistically no, but who knows it’s a long way away and Andrews is inflicting a lot of self damage at the moment.

Liberals will crawl back anywhere between 3-8 seats. It’s a start. But you’re acting as if Labor as a sure bet until 2040.

Steve Bracks was popular in 2006 and only 4 years later they got the boot. Without Andrews, I’m not sure they have any ready made leaders.

Liberal can def win 2026.

2026 is doable sure. I mean by then they'll only have been out of power for 12 years.

And spare me your exaggeration about "definitely 2040".

I've said all along they are out for the next seven, POSSIBLY eleven years.

labor probably think burwoods done already which is why they are wanting fowles to stay on despite his issues.

A lib state government is definitely the lesser of two evils compared to their federal cousins

This

Look at Queensland for example, labor in charge of the state and generally poll well in the cities/major regional centres, yet federally they're really on the nose there (though the way their electorates are are vastly different to the state electorates though)

Lel

So does Adz want people punished and locked up, or does he want them educated and rehabilitated?

Really confused on his position here, feel he wants to make his own cake and wants to eat it also.

Was forecast months ago. Fines dept debacle wont help either. Predict govt will start shedding consultants
Nah they're just putting some infrastructure projects on ice for the time being. The northern section of the M80 upgrade will be the last contract announced for a while.

Ads - I like your profile picture a lot... sums up how we are selling out our country to China fast.

I live in Shanghai and am half Chinese myself.. We don't need Aus being influenced by how society is structured here on my end. Its really stuffed up..

Premier Daniel Andrews strongly backed police on Thursday, describing the protests as turning "ugly".

"I think Victoria Police, when confronted with complex and challenging circumstances, have done a very good job," he said.

Giving the police a pass mark was the joke.

It wasn’t a great response by Vic Pol but unfortunately they are very limited in what they can do these days after I think it was the G20 many years ago?

Ideally they’d be able to use more force and disperse them a lot quicker when it’s clear they’re not about protesting but making a nuisance of themselves and physically disrupting the lives of others.

It’s funny NSW police just got rid of their water cannon after never using it, I’d love to see Vic Pol get one and just blast them!!!
