Hyperthetical - Ess/Port/Hawks (Burgoyne,Lovett,Williams, Nash + Picks)

Ess would be insane to agree to this. Lovett is better than the injury prone Williams, and why on earth would we downgrade our pick 9 to pick 24????

Shocking deal for the Dons. Wont happen

I'm pretty sure its

hawks: out - Pick 9, Williams
in: burgoyne

Ess: Out- Lovett
in: Williams, Pick24

Port: out- Burgoyne
in: Pick 9, lovett

Works for me. Winners all round

Why would Essendon help to get the Burgoyne deal done for Hawthorn, when they are desperate to get him down to their club ?????

Because 3 ess officials flew to adelaide over the weekend for one last attemot to lure him and he said thanks but no thanks i dont want to join your club.

When you get told that you move on and make the best of the situation you can.

I think its increasingly likely that a 3rd club will be involved if Hawthorn & Port cannot come to terms.

Lovett fits Port so pick 9 & Lovett would keep them happy. Then just a matter of Hawthorn & Essendon working out compensation for Lovett. Question is does Essendon want anything that Hawthorn has?

Seeing as there are hawks fans in this thread i would like to know the rough value of your player m.williams & if you think this trade is possible.
I don't want burgoyne, but think a ball/lovett & m.williams trade would be a better outcome for us, i would rather we use pick 10 on a youngster.

Is Williams really needed by the Bombers??

If so Lovett & #9 to Port. Williams to the Bombers and Burgoyne to Hawks.

Not sure I rate Williams that much - how old is he now?

Williams is 26, might be there when the Bombers win the flag but I highly doubt it.

I reckon this trade actually works well for all involved.
Lovett is about equal to pick 24 and Williams I'd say (in this draft, usually not), so it's relatively even on all fronts.

Port lose Burgoyne and gain a fairly comparable player (not as good so hence the upgrade of picks).
Hawthorn gain Burgoyne and lose their first round pick and a Williams who doesn't seem to be getting a game with them anymore.
Essendon get more than fair compensation for Lovett. Williams would probably fit in reasonably well in their forward line that's missing Lucas and Lloyd. Might get lucky with pick 24.
No real glaring loser or winner here.

I would do this if Hawthorn are going to be ridiculous to Port for a fair trade. Or if their not willing to part with Williams to make it happen.

Ess Lose: Lovett, Nash, Pick #42 + Pick #10
Ess Gain: Pick #8, Pick #24

Port Gain: Lovett, Nash, Pick #42 + Pick #10
Port Lose: Pick #8, Pick #24

Leave Hawthorn out of the Mix, allow Burygone to nominate in the national draft.

Essendon drafts S.Burygone Pick #8

Hawthorn get jack sh1t.

Otherwise.

Ess Lose: Lovett, Nash & Pick 42
Ess Gain: Williams, Pick 24

Hawthorn Lose: Pick #9, Williams
Hawthorn Gain: S.Burygone, Pick #42

Port Gain: Pick #9, A.Lovett, J.Nash
Port Lose: S.Burygone, Pick 24

I think this is realistic.

All you did there (second trade) was make Essendon lose an extra Nash and 42, while the other 2 teams add no more but gain extra.

You sure you're an Essendon supporter?

That first trade is just ridiculous.
So Lovett, Nash and Pick 42 is worth Pick 24 and a 2 pick upgrade?

I honestly can't see us downgrading two of our picks. With the second option, would Lovett want to come to us? He isn't exactly popular with Dean Brogan. :p

hahahahahahaha i would love the first one to happen and someone else picks up burgoyne... so in the end u only pick up 2 places in the draft and switching a third for a second after losing lovett! haha then u can go suck balls u selfish and stupid scum supporter! Go sit in ur corner and think of other ridiculous trades
