Ian Perrie Played His Last Game For The AFC???

His record over the last 3 years:
2005: 2 games
2006: 23 games
2007: 1 game

The pressure he applied in the forward line made him an invaluable member of our side in 2006, but when you consider he's played a total of 3 games in the years on either side of that, he's too great a risk to be persevered with.

Bode is a great little player, and nobody wants to see him delisted because of any shortcomings in his game. However, we have an ageing list, and he is a player who is rarely out on the park. For this reason, you'd have to consider him a likely delisting.

As for the others...
Perrie, Gill & McGregor: ONE of these players will be gone. Almost certainly Perrie. He's given his all, and can honestly hold his head high knowing that he got the absolute maximum out of his limited talent. But at the end of the day the time has finally come to move him on.

Torney, Massie, Doughty: ONE of these players will be gone. My money would be on Doughty, though it may be Torney if the club is strict in its policy of only retaining "tier one" players pas their 30th birthdays.

In the cases you mentioned, two of the three in both give you something, one hasn't. I will leave you to figure that one.

Regarding Bodey, I was thinking his shoulder operation was last year but it was the year before going on those figures, so perhaps he might get one more year.

I concur Vader.

They all give us something - just a question of who will give the most - not only next year, but into the future.

Rather than us guess what you are thinking, why not spell it out - as everyone has differing opinions.

Getting back up (although clearly concussed) and doing some damn fine defensive work contesting the ball, winning possession, then shooting the ball off to set up a goal for us does!

that angle was played up too much by the media, all he did was give a handpass, regardless the point was he is a honest battler and we can only have so many of them before it takes a toll on the team. As a team i think we have more than most other clubs.

Can't agree that it'll be Perrie (unless he retires?) ......he clearly has more mobility than McGregor and would be the competing player with Gill for CHF.

He clearly was the better at SANFL last week .....even allowing for the fact Kenny got 3 pretty easy goals.

Yeah maybe Doughty is in trouble .....has not been a good year for him and maybe it's him or Hinge ....or both

:confused: Yeah Perrie was heaps better in the SANFL last week, except that McGregor was best on ground and Perrie was from all reports useless. Sarge is Gone, Kenny to play out of the square full time in the future. Also I think you're confusing mobility with the fact that Perrie cant take a contested mark and has to move out past CHF to the wing where no-one is to get a kick.

Crap! ....Vince had BOG all over him and Kenny was serviceable .....in fact he copt a lot of flak from the commentators which is a bit unusual.

Again you appear to have made statements and haven't seen the game .....suggest your credibility is a little in tatters there son.

Again? I dont get it. Anyway, I didnt say anywhere that I'd seen the game, simply stated that Kenny was named best (not my choice champ) and that "from all reports" Perrie was useless, again not my opinion. If you want to talk about "Credability" I'd worry more that you reckon Perrie "Clearly better in the SANFL last week" when from all reports this is clearly not true.
You want to talk easy goals? How about Perrie's only goal 2 weeks back, was led to the ball and the poor other bloke had the ball bounce over his head, it lands in Perrie's hands and he wobbled it through, you cant have it both ways. Anyway, stop turning me into a Perrie hater lol, I like the guy.

WW rewrites history again, due to his prejudices.

I watched the game and Perrie was very ordinary in the second half after a useful first half.

K-Mac was named best for WWT by the media, and IMO played a pivotal role for WWT whether best or not.

Vince only had a useful game for 3 and a bit quarters but did up the ante in the 2nd half of the last quarter when the game had to be won.

Vince didn't make the best players in the media, although he might have just snuck in the tail-end of mine.

Still, never let a siilly thing like the truth get in the way of a good prejudice. :)

Should learn not to make any comments about WWT players hey Macca ;) ......it's almost a senior version of Drummond ....justa different team

Prejudice ....how can I be prejudiced ......the guy plays more SANFL than most ......your the one who said he was an indespensible part of the team and UNTRADEABLE .....now who is prejudiced ?

Nice try WW but very amateurish to try and deflect the claim of prejudice. :)

The topic was simply K-Mac's performance in the game v North. Your version is jaundiced.

End of story. :)

John Reid was quoted in the paper this morning saying that Bode wouldn't be back this season and would be concentrating on next season.

:p

Lets get back to that game then ......just how was Kenny BOG?

If I recall wasn't Passadore the ringleader of the revival .....the key forward target??? .......oh THAT"S IT , I get it now ......Kenny was the decoy that allowed Passadore to become so dominant ;):p

I give up. :D

Don't worry about it WW - you just continue to believe your version of it, and the rest of us will believe what we saw. :p

Yes but that was probably from the bar .....and in the second half you probably had Passadore and Kenny mixed up .....good cheers to you ;):p

Read my post - it's in English, which might make it difficult - the media gave him BOG.

My take on it was that he played a pivotal role in the game, whether best or not.

English is a notoriously difficult language to master. Just ask Anthony Rocca.

McGregor was important in the Eagles getting over the line but he wasn't outstanding overall in my honest opinion (aka fact).
