Another salty vic pinhead for the collection.

Edit: He's a local with tongue still firmly jammed in the vic coit from his last gig over there. Gotta keep those doors in Melbourne open eh, "impartial reporter"?

Calling "ball" is the fun of being at a match.
I do it knowing its not going to get called a lot of the time, but it's a bit of a laugh.

People need to chill

Former AFL media, now works at the West. Says it all really. Hope he enjoyed our win. At least the West is well respected! Oh, wait.

Incompetence but in a strange sense tonight. Brayshaw said that Sheed is from the Mines Rovers club (correct) in Collie (incorrect). He’s actually from Mines Rovers in Kalgoorlie.

There did actually used to be Mines Rovers club in Collie and being a WA lad originally JB would have likely known of that club. Still it’s a case of too much knowledge being a bad thing. Shouldn’t go sprouting statements like “they breed them tough down in Collie” when the player you’re referring to is actually from a place about 700km to the north east...

Yeah bullshit Willie:

"I normally get nervous all the week until I start my warm-up – that's why you see my dancing around in the changerooms, it's not because I'm showponying around," Rioli explained.

Reality:

"You see my dancing around in the changerooms because I'm showponying," Rioli explained. "I'm arrogant, the club's arrogant, the supporters are arrogant. Now **** off and leave me alone".

Cultivate the arrogance.

The way richo will harp on about a 50/50 call in our favour for minutes afterwards is infuriating. And yet Mihocek's mark and goal on the line wasn't given a second thought. Plus, if Collingwood had lost a player of Sheppard's ilk in the opening quarter, you can bet the narrative would have been about how 'brave' they were fighting on a man down all night. Not sure I heard it mentioned once with us.
I yelled up a lung from that BS. I was on level 5 and had a clear angle to see it went through for a behind, except the spineless goal umpire didn't call it so the field ump had to let it play on. Absolute amateur hour.

AFL.com has given a rating to each player. This was for Tom Barrass.

Tom Barrass – 4
Didn’t have much of an impact. Started well enough but the backman collected just eight disposals and didn't provide his usual intercept work.

How incompetent is that? Cox had 5 disposals, 2 marks and no scores. Barrass completely shut him out of the contest. Were they watching the game?
They also pump up Goldsack's tyres despite him having a grand total of 2 disposals for the match. Apparently he shut down JK who ended up being the highest scoring forward (with 2.3).

Apparently Goldsack has a good match because Kennedy kept dropping marks he normally takes.

****ing muppets.

Normal Kennedy finishes with 5 or 6 tonight given the same chances and defensive pressure.

When you've watched the replay be thankful for James Brayshaw who was at least reasonably balanced. The relentless Collingwood barracking from Darcy (no surprise) and Richo (a bit of a surprise) was appalling.
Predictably we were told over and over how brave and plucky the Magpies while the fact we lost a player in the 1st quarter was barely mentioned.

The ex bulldog muppet went so hard for them his balls dropped on at least two occasions

Sadly missed last nights game due to a prior engagement so catching up on this is hilarious.

There is nothing sweeter than winning a game against ‘the narrative’.

Mark Robinson clearly wrote his match report at 3 quarter time.

“Steele Sidebottom was a picture of poise in cyclone, Brayden Sier and Taylor Adams thrust their heads over greasy balls and the industrious Tom Phillips and Adam Treloar roamed far and wide.”

A picture of poise in a cyclone...really?...and I’m not even going to bring up the poor lads thrusting their heads over greasy balls.

Mark Stevens on the other hand has never heard a mostly one sided capacity crowd in a 21st century stadium before. Get a grip mate, if it was at your precious MCG you’d be gushing about creating a ‘hostile environment’ for the invading interstaters.

Looking forward to hearing ‘Darce and Richo’ waxing lyrical about Tyson Goldsack nearly keeping a good man down for a whole game...

Yup agree ...it’s the 19th man

You upugh it to see at an nba game which I’ve been too ....man they make some noise when their team gets at roll on.....

Vardy rated a 4 out of 10 and Tommy B as well what bloody game were they watching. Both should have been at least 6 to 7. Joke. Based on the player ratings i have no idea how we won

I agree

Barras was brilliant ...played his role

I thought Duggan did ok too

In a lot of ways we did not play well but found a way

Exactly this, I know its not ball but I was still screaming every time a pie was tackled. Part of the fun and helping to create a pressure cooker environment.
