If your team was having a bad season, which game would be your Grand Final?

I'd be happy to win any game at this stage. Would love to screw a team by pulling off a fairy tale win in the last few games... maybe knocking off Hawthorn or Geelong by some sort of devine intervention?

Geelong had their shot last year so I'll vote St. Kilda v Melbourne... don't like their chances for a while

Definitely Hawthorn. Even a premiership would feel dirty if it came in a year with a losing record against them.

Bombers, they have the wood on us, the matchs are usually fair competitive, and often epic. Sadly the coasters usually lose the heartbreakers.

Last year, they helped dent our chances of making top two, and if that were not the case, i think it'd be safe to say the eagles would have been in that grand final and also have had a fair chance of winning it being in the previous two.
It would at least have been a decent spectacle to watch, unlike the crap we ended up seeing.

Even after the angry gods striked with wrath unholy against the west coast eagles, and port power rode a rollercoaster of magic luck, there was only the smallest percentage seperating betweem 2nd and 3rd. Cheers Scotty Lucas, seems like Sheedy did get the last laugh even in defeat.

And thus, the passionate rivalry, and a true one at that, exists for each match between the clubs, and if not for the amazing scragy west coast nullifying abilities of the swans, would probably be our strongest rivalry.

Forget the derby crap with freo, for whom i have absalutely no problem with, as sure, it exists within the same state, but theres no other great reason for hatred. Unlike between Port & Crows, obviously because Port ruled the SANFL and the collective of haters became the crows, & dogged Port out of entering the AFL. But thats a story for another time (or its just been thrashed too much)

Interesting to see that. I thought that the Bombers/Eagles rivalry may have been in decline due to us being good when you were crap and vice versa during this decade. And you don't see the jackets being waved as much anymore.

But to answer the OP, Carlton. Given that we were always unlikely make the finals this year, those two games against the Blues were the ones I wanted us to win more than any others (even Anzac Day).
