This year I got a ten year Member pin. All of which was on the wait list. Today I got the email telling me that I'm up for membership. I'm wondering if I take my allotment of tickets scattered around the ground now, if I will end up better off when the new stadium seating wise than if I spend another year on the wait list
I'd say all 11 game members will be treated with preference.

Dear Eastern Rangers

Congratulations! The West Coast Eagles are pleased to offer you the opportunity to upgrade from your In The Wings membership to a reserved seat Season Membership for the 2017 season...

I thought the ITW memberships explained that is you turned down your first offer, you lost your list position? Not 100% sure on it though.

I called and spoke to the membership area this afternoon. I was 5,495 on the wait list in 2016 (joined 7 years ago), so I will have to wait for the new stadium to open before I get a seated membership. They now have over 17,000 as ITW members! Fair to say a ridiculously large amount of those people are going to miss out on a seated membership in the new stadium - I'm even a bit nervous about getting the call/email!

My calculations are that around 15,000 seats will be opened up to new members (assuming 16,500 more seats at new stadium - 60k compared to 43.5k - and maybe 1.5k will be provided for General Admin and opposition supporters?), and given everyone can take up to 4 seats, those 15,000 seats could be snapped up pretty quickly! I've got my fingers and toes crossed...

With our membership tally, everyone forgets that the ITW's doesn't accurately account for those who want memberships considering that an ITW's membership can account for more than 1 seat.

If we extrapolate the ITW's we probably have more people waiting for a seat than some clubs have members*

is the only way to find out your position to call them>
I emailed them yesterday and got a reply within a day with my 2016 waiting list position. They said it will be updated in April with my new number for 2017 and sent out in a letter

Wife and I were in the wings for 10 years but were offered seated memberships for 2016. Problem was when the time came to choose seats there weren't two available seats together in the whole stadium. Ended up choosing seats 4 seats apart as they were the closest. So we generally ask everyone to move down a seat and they oblige.

Club stated they won't shuffle seats around because focus is planning for new stadium move.

I can live with that and thought it was more important to get seated membership before the move to get better seats at the stadium

Im guessing that the first year of the new stadium that memberships will be sold out. But should we not make the top 8 there is no way all 50,000 memberships will be renewed, and the ITW members will all get seats.

Regular members for the past decade or so might drop off and just snap up general public seats for whichever games tickle their fancy.
