Didn't catch it all but he said they expect to seat 10,000 new members, which translates to the kind of figures posted in here (ie. at an average of 2.4 seated members per ITW membership, the cut-off will be around numbers 4000 - 4300).

He said ITW members are being contacted from this week and the club expects prompt replies to facilitate the process.

The podcast of the interview will be posted to the 6PR website https://www.6pr.com.au

Haha man this is like watching the slowest race on earth with $560 (8 yrs x $70) on the nose! Fall right in the 4000 - 4300 bracket!
Anyway, Let the dogs eat rabbits ay

Big one for me (as an ITW member unlikely to get a seat) is no priority pre-sale period for In The Wings members at the moment under the current agreement with the State, who want them on the market. But if they don't sell, that would be re-negotiated.

Yeah that's a big one. He said the club would be going out of its way to notify ITW when tickets get put up for resale so
hopefully they can get in quick.

Confirmed in this article

Be that as it may - still doesn't excuse the membership department for a lack of communication. They have all (?) email addresses and I am sure a couple of interim updates would be appreciated by those in the wings.

Gee they are a complacent bunch aren't they. For a corporate club they don't do membership marketing very well at all unless you are in corporate sponsorship level.

Membership department = take your money and give poor service.

10/10 for whingeing.

Hi DS,
I’ve just contacted club about options. Was offered only one: SkyView Deck member - 11 games, 1 hour gourmet cocktail food before game, 4 hours free booze, seat Block 528 west side.
Did I mention the price? $2,700 per year.
There’s a couple of premium seats on another thread here $1,185?
And I’ve seen a few on Gumnuts but not sure how reliable the changeover would be?

No joke i've been looking into this offer for real. $245 per game BUT that includes premium booze and cocktail food.

If i wasn't FIFO i'd be all over it.

Spot on! What can they communicate to us when they dont know what ppl are going take up?
I think if anything, & its easy for me to say, exisiting season members should have wrapped up their seating by now? Most ppl I know are sorted. In saying that though, the "restricted viewing" probably threw a spanner in the works.

I'm critical of the absence of ANY updates, not that hard e.g @Jan31 37000 of the members seated at Subi are reseated @Optus. ITW members will addressed individually with 1000 x 11 game packages & subject to uptake, these will be 5 or 3 game packages.

Existing members seat allocation /moves were sorted in Nov/ Dec.
Then payments were due mid Jan. They couldn't know how people wouldn't renew until people elected not to pay.

Then the 'restricted view' issue came up from the open day (21 Jan) - meaning more seat moves for people that contacted the club.

Emails have said all along Feb / March for ITW allocation - so really what extra communication was required ? It would have been nice, but the time frames were all in the email communications and FAQ on the website.

Nisbett's interview with Gareth Parker is available on 6PR's site, he explains things pretty thoroughly.

Sounds like the extra restricted view seats were the reason for the current holdup.
